With extraordinary comprehension, I built a floating city at Hogwarts.

Within the Pensieve, the three learned their identities.

The first one is an old man with a goatee, wearing a hexagonal scholar's hat, named Percival Rackham, from Hufflepuff, who was once the professor of Divination at Hogwarts.

The first one was a seemingly honest, chubby man wearing a round beret, named Charles Lukewood, a professor of Transfiguration from Slytherin.

The third was an Indian man dressed in purple with his head covered, named Sen Bakkar, a professor of magical zoology from Slytherin.

The last one was a middle-aged red-haired woman dressed in red, Nioff Fitzgerald. One of the former headmasters of Hogwarts, from Ravenclaw.

In fact, there are records about them in "Hogwarts: A History of the School", but obviously they don't mention the part about ancient magic.

"Has the new generation of guardians finally appeared?" The portrait of the goatee-bearded Rackham had barely finished speaking when it immediately sensed something was amiss.

"You...didn't get in through normal channels?"

The portrait of the Indian man Bhakar also revealed the problem: "You do not possess ancient magic; you are not the new generation of inheritors!"

The expressions on the other two portraits also turned ugly.

The portrait of Headmaster Fitzgerald solemnly proclaimed, "I'm sorry, children, this is not a place for your adventures. No matter how you got here, you won't find what you're looking for. Leave now."

"Hello, four professors!"

Levin ignored their hostile attitude and went up to greet them.

"It's 1993 now. A hundred years have passed since the last generation of Guardians appeared. We are the students of Hogwarts this year."

The portrait of the fat man Lukewood sighed, "Another hundred years have passed... and you still know about the Guardians."

Levin nodded: "Of course, we not only know about the Guardians, but we also know what they sealed here. In fact, that's why we came here."

Upon hearing this, the expressions on the four portraits immediately turned serious.

That malevolent emotional power was the source of all the chaos a century ago, and the fundamental reason why ancient magic almost disappeared.

0???????

These little wizards actually said that's why they came.

“Do you know what you’re saying?” Fitzgerald’s portrait grew serious. “That power is not something someone your age should be dabbling in!”

"Of course I know what that power means."

Levin countered, "And I know even better that it's not a good thing to let this force stay underground at Hogwarts."

Find a plausible reason before doing anything.

This is a good habit that Levin developed.

Lukewood's portrait sighed: "You're right, son, but we have no other choice."

The Indian man's portrait, however, held a different view: "Even so, it's not a power that can be touched. Even we guardians can't do anything about it, let alone you?"

Hearing this, Hermione was indignant: "Why do you think Levin can't do anything about it?"

Having witnessed Levin's seemingly omnipotent self-created magic, Hermione had an inexplicable confidence in the boy.

However, it is clear that the portraits of these professors do not believe this.

Principal Fitzgerald's portrait conveyed the final decision: "Since you refuse to leave, we will have to take some forceful measures."

Rackham's portrait comforted them: "Don't be afraid, children, we won't hurt you. We'll just erase your memories. It's not right to do this, but we have no other choice to keep our secret from being revealed."

As soon as he finished speaking, bursts of blue and white light began to emanate from all around the hall.

Immediately afterwards, one figure after another descended from the sky and landed on the ground, causing tremors.

Those were metal golems.

From the outside, they resemble heavily armored warriors, the shortest of whom is at least two meters tall, and their armor shares the same style as the main hall.

The armor seemed to be wrapped in vines formed of metal, twisting into artistic arcs, which, combined with the blue-glowing core, made it look magnificent and majestic.

The golems, some wielding greatswords and others warhammers, walked step by step toward the three.

This is the defense mechanism of the map-based secret room.

These golems are not only the test subjects for the guardians, but also the defensive force of the map's secret chamber.

If it were an ordinary young wizard, seeing those towering golems would probably scare him half to death.

But to the surprise of the four portraits, the three people in front of them showed no sign of tension.

The boy in the lead and the oldest girl even each took out a silver longsword.

The boy smiled calmly at them: "Good timing, professors. Now you can see just in time why we can deal with that force!"

The image shows a map of a sealed chamber.

Chapter 120 Ancient Magic and Golems

Next, the four portraits witnessed a battle scene they had never seen before.

"Golems usually possess various resistances, so it's best to use spells with the [Force Field] attribute to deal with them."

Levin gave a warning before the battle.

"understand!"

Hermione and Ciri both nodded in agreement.

A "force field" is a purely physical entity effect maintained by magic; it is a manifestation of pure physical "force" but has no mass.

Therefore, this pure "force" cannot be resisted through attribute counters; it can only be countered by pure physical defense.

Spells such as Arcane Missiles, Shield, and Arcane Explosion fall under the Force Field attribute.

For man-made weapons like golems, wizards can simply add magic resistance, elemental resistance, and so on to the golems during the manufacturing process.

However, to block force field attacks, one can only rely on the golem's physical structure.

Ciri then imbued her arcane sword with a Force Field, a sword that Levin had crafted for her after defeating the Chimera.

Hermione abandoned the Disarming Charm and began to prepare the Arcane Missiles.

As for Levin, he imbued his sword with the druidic spell "Rusty Claws," specifically designed to target these metal golems.

Having both the Druid and Mage professions, he naturally needs to make good use of the characteristics of both professions.

Then they stood still, ready for battle.

As the golems were about to reach him, Levin waved his free hand and cast his second spell:

"[Chain Lightning]!"

A bolt of lightning as thick as an arm shot out from Levin's hand, flowing directly into the leading golem's body.

Then, using it as a medium, it was launched to the nearest other golem.

The electric arc struck five times in a row, hitting all six golems.

The first golem was instantly destroyed by the terrifying lightning, its internal structure crumbling into a pile of parts.

The second one, though barely holding on, had its critical parts completely charred.

The third and fourth ones both emitted plumes of black smoke.

The last two were less damaged, but still showed signs of joint dysfunction.

With just one spell, the golem's ranks were completely disrupted.

Levin and Ciri seized the opportunity to rush forward.

Levin slashed at the waist of a golem.

As the sword touched the golem, the metal on its surface seemed to corrode at an accelerated pace, eventually turning only a rusty color.

The once sturdy armor became brittle and snapped in two when Levin's sword swung across it, cutting it in half at the waist.

On the other side, Ciri rolled away to dodge the golem's hammer blow, then struck its head with her sword.

In an instant, the golem's head was struck not by a sword, but by a battering ram, turning into a flattened disc along with its shoulder.

Hermione's Arcane Shot struck a golem precisely in the leg joint, knocking it to the ground.

In just one encounter, these golems were almost entirely destroyed.

Levin knew very well that no amount of flattery or harsh words could be as effective as demonstrating strength.

He never intended to directly persuade the four old-fashioned figures in the portraits from the very beginning.

They think their ancient magic is incredibly awesome.

They are the high and mighty guardians; whatever they do is for the good of you weaklings, so you have to accept it.

Arrogant?

Very arrogant.

But that's reality.

The reality is that ancient magic is powerful; you modern magicians simply can't defeat the guardians.

If that's the case, then the trouble that even the guardians find difficult is certainly not something a bunch of weaklings like you can handle.

When it comes to dealing with trouble, you weaklings have better listen up.

But now, Levin wants to prove that...

Your ancient magic is nothing special.

Human beings have their own unique cultural heritage.

We are not the residue left after the Guardians have been filtered out.

From beyond this world (the myriad realms), we acquire the power to negate the world.

In fact, in Levin's eyes, these golems were quite powerful.

Powerful, resilient, and highly autonomous, they were no match for the Hogwarts wizards if they hadn't encountered Levin and his gang, who used otherworldly magic.

Most importantly, this thing should be a mass-produced, consumable item.

Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to go up in groups during the Guardian's Trial.

If we acquire the technology to manufacture this, we'll have plenty of cannon fodder in future battles.
