Traveler Zerg World

Chapter 442: City of Gold 4

Chapter 442: City of Gold 4

Lin Zhi, Yan Jun, and Zhang Ying stood before a golden castle that radiated a strange light. The castle walls shimmered with golden light, as if every brick contained endless mysterious power.

"This is the Golden Castle? It certainly looks extraordinary," Yan Jun said, frowning.

Lin Zhi nodded slightly. "It is said that a major secret of the insectoid world is hidden here, so we must proceed with caution."

Zhang Ying gripped her weapon tightly. "No matter what, let's go in and take a look first."

The three cautiously stepped into the castle, which was filled with an ancient and heavy atmosphere. In the castle's main hall, there were huge murals depicting the historical changes of the insectoid world.

Suddenly, a deep roar came from the depths of the castle, followed by a swarm of strangely shaped insectoid creatures rushing out of the darkness. They had sharp claws and eyes that gleamed red, and looked extremely aggressive.

"Watch out! It's a Zerg guard!" Lin Zhi shouted, and he, Yan Jun, and Zhang Ying quickly got into fighting stance.

The Zerg guards lunged forward, baring their fangs and claws. Lin Zhi brandished her sword, engaging one of the guards in fierce combat. Yan Jun, meanwhile, used his magic skills, unleashing beams of blue light at the Zerg guards, temporarily suppressing their offensive. Zhang Ying, meanwhile, searched for an opening in the enemy's defenses, waiting for the opportune moment to deliver a fatal blow.

After a fierce battle, they finally repelled the first wave of Zerg guards. However, before they could even catch their breath, an even stronger wave of guards appeared.

“These guys are getting tougher and tougher!” Yan Jun said breathlessly.

Lin Zhi gritted her teeth, "We can't back down, we must find the secret inside the castle!"

Just as they were in trouble, they suddenly heard a hearty laugh. The two brothers, Wang Jun and Wang Kai, swaggered out.

"Haha, you guys are here to join in the fun too?" Wang Jun said with a laugh.

Lin Zhi looked wary. "What are you doing here? What's your scheme this time?"

Wang Kai curled his lip in disdain. "We have no ulterior motives. We're just here to find something useful for our Zerg."

As they spoke, Wang Jun and Wang Kai joined the battle, fighting alongside Lin Zhi and the others against the Zerg guards. With their combined efforts, the situation gradually stabilized.

As the battle progressed, they reached the second level of the castle. Here, various treasure chests were displayed, radiating an alluring glow.

"Maybe these treasure chests hold the secret we're looking for," Zhang Ying said excitedly.

However, when they opened the treasure chest, they found not precious treasures inside, but strange-looking insects. These insects attacked them as soon as they emerged, catching them completely off guard.

"What the hell is this?" Yan Jun asked in surprise while dodging the insects' attacks.

Lin Zhi observed carefully and concluded, "These insects seem to be controlled by some kind of force, specifically guarding these treasure chests."

Just as they were dealing with these insects, the four insect siblings, Li?, Li Ming, Li Hua, and Li Li, also appeared.

"You guys are having quite a lively time," Li said coldly.

Lin Zhi looked at them and said, "What are you trying to do now? Don't think we're afraid of you."

Li Hua snorted, "We're just here to see if there's anything good. We won't bother you."

Although they said that, a hint of greed was revealed in their eyes.

With everyone's combined efforts, they finally dealt with the insects in the treasure chest. They continued exploring the castle and came to a huge room. In the center of the room stood a golden statue, radiating a soft light, as if it were telling a story.

“This statue looks important; perhaps the secret lies here,” Yan Jun said.

Lin Zhi stepped forward and carefully examined the statue. Suddenly, the eyes on the statue flickered, and a golden light shot towards Lin Zhi. Lin Zhi instinctively closed his eyes, and after the light disappeared, he found that some strange images had appeared in his mind.

“I think I’ve seen the origin of the Zerg world…” Lin Zhi said in surprise.

Yan Jun and Zhang Ying quickly asked, "Tell us, what did you see?"

Lin Zhi slowly said, "The Zerg world was originally a beautiful and peaceful place, but a sudden disaster shattered this tranquility. A mysterious force invaded the Zerg world, causing the Zerg to fall into chaos and war. This golden castle was built to seal this mysterious force."

Just then, the castle suddenly began to shake violently. Everyone realized that danger was closing in.

"Oh no, the seal might have loosened! We need to find a way to reseal it immediately!" Yan Jun said anxiously.

However, just as they were preparing to find a way to seal the seal, other forces of the Zerg arrived at the Golden Castle. Hua Yuan and Zhang Yuan, leading their respective subordinates, surrounded Lin Zhi and his group.

"Do you think you can keep the secrets of this place to yourselves?" Hua Yuan said with a sneer.

Looking at the enemies around him, Lin Zhi said firmly, "We will not let you succeed! The peace of the Zerg world cannot be destroyed!"

A fierce battle ensued. Lin Zhi, Yan Jun, Zhang Ying, Wang Jun, Wang Kai, and the four insectoid siblings fought side by side against Hua Yuan, Zhang Yuan, and their allies. The battle was exceptionally intense, with both sides employing every skill imaginable.

During the battle, Lin Zhi kept thinking about how to seal the mysterious power. Suddenly, he recalled the scene he had seen in his mind. There seemed to be a special crystal in a corner of the castle, which might be related to the seal.

"I'm going to find that crystal! You guys hold on!" Lin Zhi shouted and ran towards the depths of the castle.

Yan Jun and Zhang Ying fought back against the enemy's attack while also taking care of the injured Wang Jun, Wang Kai, and the four insectoid siblings.

Lin Zhi searched deep within the castle for the crystal, finally finding it in a secluded room. The crystal emitted a brilliant light, as if responding to him.

Lin Zhi picked up the crystal, a surge of power welling up within him. He returned to the battlefield and placed the crystal before the statue. The crystal and the statue resonated with each other, emitting a dazzling light, and gradually, the mysterious power within the castle began to be resealed.

With the seal complete, the castle returned to peace. Seeing the situation was dire, Hua Yuan, Zhang Yuan, and the others fled the castle.

Linzhi and the others looked at each other with relieved smiles on their faces.

"This time, thankfully, we escaped unscathed," Yan Jun said.

Lin Zhi nodded. "Although we have discovered some secrets of the Zerg world, there are still many unknowns waiting for us to explore in the future."

Wang Jun patted Lin Zhi on the shoulder, "That's right, but at least this time we successfully stopped the mysterious force from spreading further."

As the group emerged from the Golden Castle, sunlight bathed them, as if cheering for their victory. And the Zerg world, thanks to their efforts, had temporarily returned to peace, awaiting their continuation of many more stories…

In the days that followed, Lin Zhi and his group remained vigilant. They knew that the insectoid world still held many hidden dangers, and although the seal on the mysterious power was temporarily stable, it could loosen again at any time.

So they began to travel throughout the Zerg world, making more like-minded friends and exploring every corner of this mysterious world together. They delved into ancient Zerg tribes, learning about their culture and history; they searched for mysterious ruins, looking for possible treasures and powers.

During one of their adventures, they came to a mountain range covered in ice and snow. It was bitterly cold and the wind howled, but they were not deterred by the difficulties.

“This mountain range looks very unusual; it might hold some secret,” Zhang Ying said, rubbing her frozen hands.

Linzhi nodded. "Be careful, the environment here is very dangerous."

As they continued along the mountain range, they suddenly heard a deep roar. A gigantic white insectoid monster appeared before them, its body covered in thick scales, its eyes gleaming with an eerie green light, and emanating a chilling aura.

"This is the legendary Icefield Monster!" Yan Jun said nervously.

Faced with such a powerful enemy, no one dared to be careless. They quickly assumed fighting stances, ready to meet the challenge.

The Icefield Beast opened its gaping maw and spewed out a icy pillar of ice towards them. Lin Zhi and the others quickly dodged, but the ice pillar struck the rocks behind them, instantly freezing them into blocks of ice.

The brothers Wang Jun and Wang Kai charged forward first, engaging the Icefield Beast in close combat. Their bodies were exceptionally strong, and each attack carried immense power. Lin Zhi, meanwhile, provided support using magic, unleashing streams of flame from his hands to counter the Icefield Beast's frigid power.

Yan Jun and Zhang Ying were not to be outdone. They each used their own skills to search for the weaknesses of the Icefield Monster.

After a fierce battle, the Icefield Beast gradually showed signs of fatigue. Its movements became sluggish, and some wounds appeared on its body.

"Now! Attack together!" Lin Zhi shouted.

With everyone working together, they launched their strongest attack. Lin Zhi's fire magic, Yan Jun's powerful incantation, Zhang Ying's fatal blow, and the full-force charge of the Wang brothers, Jun and Kai, finally defeated the Icefield Beast.

After the Icefield Beast fell, they discovered a hidden cave where it had fallen. A faint light emanated from the cave, as if something was drawing them in.

"Maybe we can find what we're looking for here," Lin Zhi said.

They cautiously entered the cave, where some crystals shimmered with light. These crystals were somewhat similar to the ones they had found in the Golden Castle, but they possessed different energy fluctuations.

"These crystals look very special. I wonder what they are used for." Yan Jun picked up a crystal and examined it carefully.

Just then, the cave suddenly began to shake violently. They realized that they had probably triggered some kind of mechanism inside the cave.

"Get out of here! It's not safe here!" Lin Zhi shouted.

Everyone hurriedly ran towards the cave exit, but just as they were about to run out, the cave ceiling collapsed, blocking the exit.

"This is terrible! We're trapped!" Zhang Ying said anxiously.

Lin Zhi looked around and calmly said, "Don't panic, let's see if there are any other ways out."

They searched the cave thoroughly and finally discovered a hidden passage. Following the passage, they arrived at a vast underground space. Inside, various advanced mechanical devices were displayed.

In the center of the underground space, there was a huge machine with various indicator lights flashing and humming.

"What kind of machine is this? It looks amazing," Wang Jun asked curiously.

Lin Zhi stepped forward and carefully examined the machine. Suddenly, the screen on the machine lit up, displaying some strange symbols and images.

“These symbols seem to be some kind of language, but I’ve never seen them before,” Yan Jun said, frowning.

Just as they were wondering what was going on, the machine suddenly started up, emitting a bright light. After the light faded, they found themselves in a completely unfamiliar place.

"Where are we?" Zhang Ying asked in surprise.

Lin Zhi looked around and said, "This place looks like another dimension of the Zerg world, but the specifics are still unclear."

They began to explore this unfamiliar dimension, discovering unique creatures and environments. Some creatures resembled giant jellyfish, floating in the air; others were like shimmering insects, flitting through the grass.

During their exploration, they met a mysterious old man. The old man seemed very knowledgeable and had a deep understanding of this dimension.

"You've come from outside, haven't you? This isn't a simple place," the old man said.

Linzhi recounted their experience to the old man, who nodded and said, "The machine you touched was a teleportation device connecting different dimensions. You were accidentally teleported here."

The old man told them that in order to return to the original Zerg world, they needed to find a receiver that corresponded to the teleportation device and crack the password on the receiver.

“Cracking the code is no easy task; it requires a deep understanding of the history and culture of the Zerg world,” the old man said.

Linzhi and his group decided to search for the receiver in this dimension and study the history and culture of the Zerg world in hopes of cracking the code and returning to their own world.

In the days that followed, they studied historical documents with the old man, searching for clues related to the teleportation device. At the same time, they also had to contend with various unknown dangers and challenges in this dimension.

After a long and arduous effort, they finally found the receiver. However, cracking the code proved extremely difficult.

"These passwords seem completely unsolvable, what should we do?" Yan Jun said anxiously.

Lin Zhi stared at the code, lost in thought. Suddenly, he remembered some ancient script he had seen in the Golden Castle, scripts that bore a resemblance to certain symbols in the code.

"Perhaps these ancient characters are the key to cracking the code!" Lin Zhi said excitedly.

He began to analyze and deduce, comparing the ancient script and the code bit by bit. After several days and nights of hard work, he finally succeeded in cracking the code.

The receiver emitted a beam of light, sending them back to their original Zerg world.
