Leon has such a cute "junior sister"?
hiss!
This junior sister's storyline wasn't in the original anime!
That's normal, though. The original anime mainly focuses on advancing the plot, and it's only a few episodes long. Excluding the time for the opening and ending themes, each episode is only a few minutes long, so it's normal that many minor characters don't appear.
Furthermore, Leon is a cold-blooded, ruthless, and decisive man. Such a person is unlikely to have a romantic love story, so there is no need to depict his junior sister's story with him.
Leon followed the adorable girl across the yard and finally into the cottage.
There was no fireplace in the cabin, only a charcoal fire burning, and a kettle sitting on the fire, bubbling and emitting white smoke, while the aroma of alcohol filled the room.
Sitting cross-legged in front of the charcoal fire was a man with a lot of white hair at his temples, who looked somewhat old but not too old, and exuded a mature aura.
He wore a thin shirt, a black vest, and had long hair tied in a wolf tail at the back of his head in an artistic style.
"teacher."
The adorable blonde girl stepped into the house first and bowed.
The mature man glanced at the girl, said nothing, and simply nodded slightly. The girl then obediently left.
Only the mature man and Leon remained in the room.
The mature man gestured for Leon to sit down, and Leon unceremoniously sat down cross-legged on a soft mat by the charcoal fire.
"Mr. Leon, please speak frankly about what you need to say."
The mature man gave a friendly smile.
"Alright, I've heard that you are incredibly insightful and have a keen eye for things, so I've come here to ask for your help in finding someone."
Leon spoke frankly.
"Looking for someone?"
The mature man's smile faded.
"Yes."
Leon nodded.
"Well, I'm generally unwilling to go through these things, but for Caesar and Leon's sake, I can help you."
"Yes, thank you, sir."
The mature man paused slightly before saying, "Do you have the token from the person you're looking for? That would greatly improve the accuracy."
"some."
Leon retrieved the button that Helena had left behind.
"Are you looking for a man?"
The mature man glanced at the button and asked a question, but he did not reach out to take the button that Leon had taken out.
"No, it's a girl."
Leon grasped the button and answered.
"Well, okay."
After the mature man finished speaking, he moved another empty cushion between himself and Leon.
He then pulled a deck of cards from the left pocket of his vest.
The images on the cards are made up of lines connecting many small dots of the same color, which form various different images.
Leon recognized these cards; they were a type of divination used in this world called the Astrological Cards, created by the mysterious Queen Percy.
After taking out the cards, the mature man skillfully shuffled them, and then, as if he had put in a lot of effort, quickly pressed the cards onto the soft deck.
Then, he looked at Leon with a smile in his eyes.
"Hold the button with one hand, and use your other hand to cut the cards by feel. You can cut the cards three times in a row. After each cut, take out the top card."
The mature man spoke with a smile.
Chapter Five: Divination (Part Two)
This method of divination is very similar to something called Tarot cards from Leon's previous life. However, in his previous life, Tarot cards were basically just toys, and a bunch of charlatans were just pretending to be mysterious and could not actually calculate anything.
As for why Leon came to this conclusion, it's because he once used tarot cards to predict his college entrance exam results, which were very auspicious. However, in reality, he still ended up becoming a talent that Peking University and Tsinghua University could never obtain.
After a few breaths, following his own will, Leon randomly cut the cards three times, and then took out the cards that remained on top after the three cuts, arranging them in a row from left to right according to the order they were cut.
Is this okay?
Leon looked at the mature man sitting in front of him.
"Well, yes."
The mature man gave Leon a meaningful look, then narrowed his eyes and turned over the first card Leon had cut.
There are 49 astrological cards in total, and the patterns on each card are different curves connected together. Astrologers call this astrological symbolism.
The first card that Leon cut out had a pattern that resembled the rings of a tree, with mottled star trails that crisscrossed around the central star points, forming a circle.
The surrounding dots are brighter and more vibrant, but the central dots appear duller in comparison.
"The Wheel of Fate signifies a turning point from death to life."
The mature man glanced at the cards, squinted at Leon, and smiled faintly.
For a fleeting moment, Leon had the illusion that this guy had discovered some unknown secret about him.
But Leon quickly dismissed the idea.
Even the angel Bancroft, and even the goddess of justice last time, couldn't tell that he was a time traveler. How could a decrepit old man like him possibly know? What made him so special as to know?
No matter how powerful they are, they can't possibly be stronger than the gods.
A turning point from death to life?
Leon savored the word.
But he immediately realized something was wrong.
"Sir, what does this have to do with me looking for someone?"
Leon stared at the mature man in front of him and questioned him.
"Of course it's related! This is to anticipate the risks you'll face while searching for that person!"
The mature man paused for a moment, then smiled.
Really?
Leon was somewhat skeptical. Why did this Mr. Wolong seem different? To put it another way, he was too smooth and slick, completely unlike Leon's teacher.
"Squeak."
Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and a gust of cold wind blew into the room.
A tall, thin man walked in through the door. His top hat and shoulders were still covered in snow, and he had a slicked-back hairstyle, but a strand of white hair hung down in front of his forehead.
Apart from their hairstyles and demeanor, his face was exactly the same as the man sitting in front of Leon.
What's going on?
The real and fake Wolong?
Leon was stunned.
"Ah... Avery, didn't you just go out for a trip yesterday? Why are you back this morning?"
Upon seeing the man enter, the man sitting opposite Leon couldn't sit still any longer and awkwardly stood up.
He glanced at Leon, then at the man in front of him, and then his gaze fell on the astrological cards on the cushion. The man called Avery looked annoyed.
"Harry, you're impersonating me again, giving fortune readings to random people!"
"Avery said angrily."
"Ahem, Mr. Leon, please excuse me."
Harry, sporting Avery's face, winked at Leon, then stood up abruptly. The flame of the oil lamp wick inside the room flickered violently, emitting a blue light, and then Harry vanished without a trace, leaving behind only the astrological cards that he had knocked over and scattered in his escape.
"Teacher... why did you suddenly come back?"
The adorable blonde girl in the inner room came out upon hearing the noise, speaking timidly without daring to look up at Avery's face.
"Hmph, go and copy Alexander's Art of War ten times! Finish it within a week!"
Avery was so angry that his beard trembled.
"Okay, teacher."
The girl bit her rosy lower lip in pain, then quickly went back to the inner room after receiving the Pain Mask.
Stunned by this sudden turn of events, Leon didn't know what to do, so he simply did nothing and continued to sit awkwardly in place.
"You must be Prince Leon of the Empire."
After the girl left, Avery's anger quickly subsided. He closed the door, took off his top hat and leather coat, and shook off the snow.
"Hmm, you are Mr. Wolong?"
Although Leon already had the answer, he felt it was better to ask again.
"Yes, I apologize for the embarrassing situation."
Avery laughed, indicating that he had no intention of explaining to Leon.
Mr. Wolong is a master diviner. It is said that at this level, one can easily see the secrets of heaven. It is normal for such a true master to disdain explanation.
"I already know why you've come here."
Before Leon could speak, Avery continued to speak first.
"I can help you with this."
After adjusting his coat and top hat, Avery hung them on hooks on the wall, then took a wine glass and sat down on the cushion by the charcoal fire. He reached out, and the bubbling kettle on the fire automatically turned and tilted, pouring hot wine into Avery's glass.
The wine was still bubbling in the glass, but when Avery brought it to his lips, it immediately quieted down, as if it had instantly cooled down.
Then, Leon saw Avery drink it himself.
That's incredibly rude!
Leon swallowed hard, smelling the aroma of the wine.
I don't know what kind of wine this is, but it smells strangely fragrant.
"gentlemen--"
"you can go now."
Leon had barely opened his mouth when he was interrupted by Avery.
“Go to the dock now. Harry is waiting for you there. He will take you there.”
Avery then added.
Uh……
Fine.
Leon wanted to complain, but ultimately held back.
"Thank you sir."
Leon rose, bowed, and then quickly left.
I had a feeling that Avery wasn't very welcoming to me?
Perhaps it's because of Leon?
Fine, he said he could help him, as long as Helena was found, then he wouldn't be needed anymore.
After thinking for a moment, Leon pushed open the courtyard gate and quickly left along the path he had come from.
After walking a short distance, Leon saw the adorable blonde girl come out to close the door. She stood at the door, looking at him with a frown on her face.
