Chapter 1841 - 836: Miracle and Price (Part 2)
However, the Book of Knowledge knew nothing about it, not knowing how to condense the Star’s Source Law, let alone how to achieve Source Ascension beyond the Root Origin.
He could only ask Rhein.
But back then, Rhein told him that anything related to breaking through the 17th level of Spiritual Energy and condensing the Primordial Law was considered the highest level of Black Fog taboos.
Only upon returning to Saint Longde could this be spoken of.
Of course, this was part of the Fire Holder’s system, which Rod might not be able to use.
But the Book of Knowledge, perhaps it could serve as a reference, to recall something.
"Master, I am sure these memories are erased, not in my Soul Fragments. As long as you give me some clues, I can remember them."
In the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge said excitedly.
It vaguely had a premonition that the master would gain a significant advancement here.
Soon, Rod followed Rhein to the bottommost level of the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground.
It was extremely cold and dark here, with a strange stench subtly present in the damp air. It was hard to imagine this was the underground of the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground, but rather more like the lair of some monster.
After walking a bit further, Rod saw a giant black door.
It was very tall, occupying all the view before him, with Black mist swirling within the door, and twisted characters engraved on the door.
Looking closely, Rod found they were the oldest Divine Language, yet the writing was very strange, as if it had been corrupted and twisted.
The entire door gave him a very terrifying feeling, but Rhein walked in through the small gap without hesitation.
"This must be the Seniel’s Gate he mentioned."
Rod thought to himself and followed in step.
As soon as he passed through the door, a hellish scenery suddenly unfolded before his eyes.
It was like the entrails of some huge creature, with black and red intestines and blood vessels spread across the sky, writhing flesh replacing the walls, countless twisted organs spread open from both sides beneath his feet, extending to an unseen distance.
Only a small path, like a spinal column, led directly to the center.
The center was a large and incredibly complex Flesh Throne, filled with countless pipes, with a bloated mass of flesh sitting atop, struggling to wriggle, a gigantic tumor-like head lifted up, eyes filled with murky fluid gazing at them.
The ethereal voice of the Great Shepherd Leader emanated from the flesh.
"Mr. Rod, welcome to the Seniel Throne."
Rod was stunned by this terrifying scene.
He had considered that the Great Shepherd Leader might be seriously corrupted like the former Sun Knight and sealed somewhere, but never expected such a scene.
If Rhein were not by his side, he would definitely think this mass of flesh was some kind of monster and would have shot a Star Shuttle towards it long ago.
Rhein bowed deeply.
"Steel Fire King Sword, pays respect to the Great Shepherd Leader of the Divine Fire Church, may your soul be relieved from pain soon."
The Great Shepherd Leader smiled, "Rhein, you’re always so different, most people in Saint Longde wish I remain forever lost in this hell of flesh."
Rhein’s face turned somber, he turned to Rod and looked at him seriously.
"Mr. Rod, this is the highest secret of Saint Longde, fewer than two dozen people have seen it, but you are qualified to know."
Rod asked in shock, "What exactly is this? Great Shepherd Leader, have you been seriously corrupted? Don’t you have Soul Takers that claim to resurrect the dead? Why can’t it be cured?"
Rhein replied solemnly, "This is something no one could cure, because it is a curse of destiny... The Great Shepherd Leader is the most powerful Prophet in the history of Saint Longde, he created the City of Prophecy three hundred years ago, he gave countless prophecies for Saint Longde, altering countless impending broken destinies, but excessive manipulation of destiny provoked backlash from the Source, the Great Shepherd Leader’s root of destiny was horrifically twisted, his soul, his life, his existence are all decaying."
"This is an irreversible curse, a change of the foundation of existence, a twist from the primordial cosmos, we tried everything, created the Seniel Throne, but could only maintain the Great Shepherd Leader’s existence as best as we could."
Rod was stunned by Rhein’s words.
He had never thought that peering into destiny could lead to such a backlash.
In the Dream Realm, the Book of the Future shivered, "No way, I won’t end up like this, right?"
Despite saying this, it was impossible for it to give up.
"Book, do we have a way to cure him?" Rod instinctively asked.
The Book of Knowledge pondered, "Master, this is beyond what we can manage now, this individual’s very existence has decayed, unless we harvest his soul, allowing him to exist in another form in the Dream Realm."
Rod knew it meant the Eternal Square, but that was certainly not feasible, at least not now.
"Mr. Rod."
The Great Shepherd Leader gazed at Rod with that terrifying look but spoke in an extremely gentle voice.
"I’m glad to see you in person, the Trorian Miracle, the King of the Sewers, the Black Dinner Plate, the Redeemer of Humanity."
Rod replied half-jokingly, "Great Shepherd Leader, aren’t you forgetting the Hunter of a thousand married women?"
The Great Shepherd Leader laughed, "The culture of Saint Longde loves romance and flair, a Hunter of married women wouldn’t face discrimination but rather be seen as a symbol of romance, this title alone could greatly enhance the goodwill of most people in Saint Longde towards Trolian, making our future support and assistance much smoother."
