Chapter 33 Transformation, Teaching Omega
Chapter 33 Transformation, Teaching Omega
Inside the Havoc Raider, the deep hum of the engine echoed.
Lance closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat, his breathing changing from rapid to steady.
Since his escape from the Jedi Temple, he had tried several times to suppress his emotions in the Jedi way, just as he had in the past.
fear.
anger.
pain.
There was also hatred towards Anakin and Palpatine.
But the more you suppress those emotions, the more they seem like undercurrents in the deep sea, suddenly surging out at some point.
As soon as you close your eyes.
He would always see the flames of the Jedi Temple burning, see the young apprentices falling under the gun barrels, and see the moment the clone soldiers raised their blaster guns.
And Anakin, with his long black robe and crimson-yellow eyes.
Lance could sense that these negative emotions were growing stronger.
If he hadn't still held onto hope, he probably would have been completely consumed long ago.
Lance did not want to follow the same path as Anakin.
He wanted to start trying a different approach.
Open your heart completely.
In an instant.
Dark clouds rolled and churned across the sky.
A surge of negative emotions, like a burst dam, suddenly broke free of its restraints and roared as it swept in.
This time, he no longer resisted or denied it.
When fear struck him, he acknowledged his fear.
When anger strikes him, he doesn't try to suppress the emotion.
He stood in the middle of the torrent, quietly feeling it.
Those negative emotions seemed to be provoked by him, stirring up huge waves and launching a fierce attack on him.
It will surely shatter him and overwhelm him.
Lance is like a stubborn rock, standing firm no matter how they attack it.
Gradually, their impact began to weaken.
Ten thousand jun, a thousand jun, a hundred jin.
Until...
The matter has been completely quelled.
The out-of-control torrent transformed into a tranquil stream, flowing gently through his heart.
The fear remains.
The sadness still remains.
But they could no longer swallow themselves whole.
Instead, it brought new life to this heart.
The Force flowed slowly around him.
There was no stagnation from repression, nor the manic energy of the dark side.
Only, an unprecedented calm.
Lance slowly opened his eyes and gently exhaled.
There were no strong fluctuations of primal force, nor any astonishing changes in aura.
The unease that had been subtly surrounding him seemed to have completely subsided.
The atmosphere in the entire cabin seemed to suddenly become much lighter.
Gu Gu was the first to notice something was wrong.
He clutched the toy in both hands, blinked, and stared up at Lance:
"Eeya! Eeya!"
His little ears twitched slightly, and a smile spread across his face.
The second to notice was the hunter with enhanced senses.
He subconsciously turned to look at Lance, staring at him for a moment:
"...You've changed."
"I don't know why, but things have definitely changed."
Lance's breathing, his aura, even his presence had changed.
Although Lance was calm in the past, he always seemed to be on guard.
But now, just by sitting there, he makes the atmosphere around him unconsciously quiet down.
The hunter frowned slightly, trying to describe the feeling:
"It feels...more peaceful, tranquil, and relaxed..."
At this moment, the others came over.
The technician adjusted his glasses and observed carefully for a while:
"From a biological perspective, your heart rate and breathing rate are much more stable than before."
He paused for a moment, then added:
"It's even close to a deep sleep state."
"But you are clearly conscious."
The technician's words carried a hint of curiosity, and he quickly looked down at the data display:
"This is really interesting; I have to write it down."
He muttered to himself, his fingers flying across the instrument.
Echo looked at Lance without saying a word.
He vaguely sensed something was different, but couldn't quite put his finger on it.
King Qingzhang looked Lance up and down, his gaze sweeping over the others. He scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.
What has changed?
I didn't see Lance with horns on his head or an extra tail behind him.
He's still him...
Omega's eyes lit up, and he immediately thought of the meditation Lance had mentioned.
She immediately asked in a low voice:
"Is this the effect of meditation?"
Lance nodded slightly, then shook his head:
Yes and no.
"I've resolved some inner conflicts and gained some insights."
Omega nodded as if he understood, but his curiosity about the Jedi only grew stronger.
......
Outside the spaceship lies the unchanging, deep blue hyperspace corridor.
Even the few determined warriors among the hunters gradually found it tedious and boring.
Fortunately, everyone can find something to do, otherwise they might get sick from being cooped up.
The obstacle clearing king exercises with a powered robot.
The Hunter, Technician, and Echo were busy maintaining and modifying the spaceship's interior, reviewing documents, and so on.
A corner of the ship's cabin.
Lance sat cross-legged on the mat, holding Gugu in his arms, his eyes gently closed, his expression calm and solemn.
Omega followed his example and sat opposite him.
A dozen minutes later, her eyebrows twitched incessantly.
My legs are numb...
Another ten minutes or so passed, and she felt as if she could no longer feel her lower body.
"It won't work."
Omega suddenly opened her eyes and forcefully straightened her legs:
"I feel like my legs are about to break."
She frowned and gently kneaded.
Lance slowly opened his eyes, a slight smile playing on his lips, and couldn't help but recall the scene when he first started practicing meditation as a child:
"That's certainly true at the beginning."
"The main reason for leg numbness is insufficient exercise and poor blood circulation."
"This is normal."
"Exercise more, practice more, and you'll gradually get used to it."
Omega felt her legs gradually regaining feeling and let out a long sigh of relief.
"Teacher, how long did it take you to get used to it?"
Omega insisted on calling him that, and Lance couldn't refuse, so he acquiesced.
Lance slowly extended two fingers:
"About two weeks."
"..."
Seeing that she remained silent, Lance patiently instructed her:
"Meditation has no fixed posture."
"Sitting cross-legged is just an outward form, not the only standard."
"Being too rigid about posture actually makes one look inferior."
"The purpose of meditation is not to sit cross-legged with eyes closed, but to calm the mind and spirit."
Upon hearing this, Omega immediately asked a question:
"Can I sit in a chair and meditate?"
"sure."
Lance nodded in satisfaction:
"You're fine even if you're lying in bed."
"but......"
He paused, looking at Omega with a mocking expression:
"Can you promise you won't fall asleep?"
Omega immediately lowered his head in embarrassment.
She did fall asleep a few times.
Not only did they fall asleep quickly, but they also slept very soundly.
"Sit down quickly."
She did as instructed immediately.
"Don't rush to find the Force."
There was a calm power in his voice:
"First, learn to feel yourself."
How does it feel?
"breathe."
Omega gradually quieted down.
"Inhale."
Exhale.
"Don't try to control it."
"Let your breath flow naturally."
With the help of that voice, Omega quickly gathered her thoughts and focused on her breathing.
But before long, my mind started to wander.
The curious hunters were doing something...
Thinking of Camino and Nora Seymour...
What does the fantasy Pantora actually look like...?
They even started to speculate whether Lance used to sit like this every day when he was in the Jedi Temple.
Then she suddenly realized...
I drifted off into my own thoughts again.
