"Clap clap clap!"
The crisp sound of slaps echoed repeatedly at the entrance of the bakery, mixed with the tearful pleas for mercy from two pirates.
"Brother! Brother! We were wrong! We were really wrong! We'll never dare to collect protection money again!"
"Yes, yes, yes, as long as they let us leave, we'll leave right away!"
The bakery owner hid behind the counter, staring dumbfounded at the two pirates dancing and slapping each other in front of the bakery.
They were just moments ago arrogantly threatening to smash his shop, but now they're shamelessly begging others to let them go.
The bakery owner swallowed hard, cautiously glancing at the culprit behind it all: a tall, handsome blond man who had just walked in.
"Alright, Lingling, stop looking and buy whatever you want. We still have things to do after you're done."
Oro glanced at the two pirates at the door, leaned forward, reached his hand behind the counter, and then opened it.
"Is this enough? Let that girl take whatever she wants."
The bakery owner stared intently at the marble-sized piece of gold in Oro's hand.
He had run a shop on Beehive Island for five years, and the most extravagant pirates he had ever met had only given him silver coins. Let alone such a large piece of gold, even small pieces of gold were rare.
The boss nodded hurriedly, then shook his head violently, his voice trembling: "Enough, enough... No, no, no! Too much! Sir, this is too much!"
"Even if you had this lady take all the cakes from the window, you still wouldn't need this many!"
"That means it's enough."
With a gentle toss, Oro sent the golden marble tracing a graceful arc through the air.
The bakery owner shuddered and quickly caught it. When his palm touched the cold, heavy gold, he couldn't help but shiver. He then quickly clutched the gold in his hand, hid it in his apron pocket, and glanced warily at the two pirates at the door.
"Don't worry, they're just puppets on strings right now, they can't see it."
Oro followed the bakery owner's gaze, then smiled and offered some words of comfort.
"Okay, okay! Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir!"
The shopkeeper nodded hurriedly, bending so low he almost touched the counter, and then took out a fine linen bag with a bread pattern printed on it from under the counter.
"This lady can choose anything in the shop! If it's not enough, I'll make it fresh!"
Oro took the bag from the shopkeeper, waved his hand to tell him not to worry about it, and turned to walk towards Lingling, who was still hesitating in front of the glass window.
He also saw the chocolate cakes displayed in the glass window, which did look very tempting.
The caramel-colored crust was still steaming, and the rich dark chocolate syrup dripped slowly down the edge of the cake, gleaming with a silky sheen under the window lights.
The entire glass display window was filled with a sweet, rich cocoa aroma, mixed with the caramelized scent of butter from the oven, making one's mouth water.
"We should definitely buy more; it's a flavor that Gails also likes."
As Auro thought to himself, he handed the bag to Lingling, his tone softening slightly: "Take whichever one you like, the bag is big enough."
"Really?!"
Lingling's eyes lit up, and she immediately reached out and opened the display window, carefully picking up the largest piece of lava chocolate cake, afraid that the chocolate syrup would spill out.
She also grabbed a few frosted cookies and two bags of chocolate balls, muttering to herself:
"This is for Gals, this is for me, this is for Oro, and I'll keep that one as a snack on the road..."
Oro stood beside her, helping her put the cakes and pastries into the bag one by one. The sweet aroma filled the air, and even the frustration from dealing with the pirates earlier dissipated a lot.
pity--
"Which blind bastard dares to touch my people?!"
A rough, angry roar came from the shop entrance, where a tall, green-haired man, nearly four meters tall, blocked the entrance to the bakery.
Wang Zhi was wearing a black vest, revealing his muscular arms, which were covered with a thick layer of Armament Haki, making his muscles look ferocious and thick.
He glanced at the giant axe stuck in the ground, estimated the user's size, then looked at Lingling, his eyes instantly turning fierce, as if he wanted to devour her: "Did you do this?"
As Wang Zhi spoke, he raised his right arm, and his powerful fist, accompanied by a whistling sound, smashed towards Lingling.
Lingling ignored it and carefully put a chocolate-filled ball into her mouth. The sweet taste made her squint her eyes in enjoyment.
Auro waved his hand, and golden threads instantly poured out from all parts of the shop, wrapping around Wang Zhi's arms in the blink of an eye, and then suddenly pulled upwards!
"Ugh!"
Wang Zhi was forcibly hoisted up, his arms painfully constricted by the gold threads. Under the pressure of the gold threads, even his jet-black armor began to crack.
He struggled desperately, kicking his legs wildly, trying to break free of the restraints with brute force, but those seemingly delicate golden threads were incredibly tough, and no matter how hard he tried, they wouldn't budge.
"I say, this old trick of starting small and then growing big is way too outdated."
Oro was somewhat displeased; the pleasant atmosphere had been ruined just like that.
"Hey, where's your boss? When are they coming?"
"You're dead when my boss gets here!"
Oro rolled his eyes, tightened his fingertips slightly, and the golden thread tightened again. A "crackling" sound came from Wang Zhi's arm, as if the bones were about to break.
Wang Zhi's face instantly turned purplish-red, and he grimaced in pain, but he still stubbornly refused to beg for mercy. At least he had more backbone than his underlings.
Just as Oro was about to ask where he could buy a pointer, a deep laugh suddenly came from the port lighthouse.
"Ha ha ha ha!"
The laughter, brimming with arrogant and unrestrained domineering spirit, enveloped the entire street, including the bakery, like a dark cloud.
"An interesting kid—"
At the top of the lighthouse, a man dressed in black leather armor leaned against the railing.
The man's gaze swept over Wang Zhi, who was hanging in mid-air in the bakery, then landed on Auro and Lingling. A meaningful smile appeared on his lips, and his voice, carried clearly by the sea breeze, reached everyone's ears:
"Those who dare to mess with Locus on Beehive Island, you have far more courage than I imagined."
Oro looked up at the mysterious man with black and white hair on the tower, then looked down at Wang Zhi who was still struggling, and then thought about the two pirates who had just danced and begged for mercy.
This is so classic!
Oro was speechless. Was today some kind of classic holiday?
"Villain Family Bucket" Festival?
How could I encounter such a classic scene while shopping?
First, the underlings started causing trouble, then the minor leaders stepped in, and finally the big boss himself got involved...
He had seen this kind of old-fashioned, classic plot countless times in novels and comics before he transmigrated.
He actually encountered it now; is there such a plot in the original work?

I was suggested to write a storyline like this. What do you all think of these two chapters today?
