Chapter 49: Natsume Captured
Chapter 49: Natsume Captured
"Go, Master Ball!" Natsume had no other choice; this was his last resort.
This time, finally there was no influence from the [clerical] authority.
The Master Ball struck the giant Dragonite, enveloping it in a red glow.
[Natsume used a Master Ball! The Pokémon was in Dynamax form, and the capture failed.]
"Gigantamax?" Natsume was utterly astonished, not even having time to grieve for losing a Master Ball.
Gigantamax is exclusive to Eternatus, so why is this Dragonite also one?
"It's all over, it's all over, meow!"
Meow Meow clutched her head, feeling like the sky was about to fall.
"Can we escape, system?"
Natsume suddenly asked.
[Escape in progress, judgment successful!]
The next second, the rules of the arena collapsed, and Natsume fell from the sky into the sea.
Soaking in the bitter, salty seawater, Natsume remained silent.
Does "escape" mean you ran away yourself?
"Hurry, think of something, meow! She's looking over here, meow!"
Meow Meow hugged Natsume's head and shook him frantically.
"Meow!" Natsume looked up and stared intently at Meow.
"What's wrong? Do you have a way, meow?" A glimmer of hope ignited in Meow Meow's heart.
"Instead of struggling in despair, it's better to properly prepare her remains." With that, Natsume closed her eyes, looking peaceful.
"Screw you, tidy up, meow!!!"
As the seawater surged, Natsume and Meowth were grabbed by a giant Dragonite and held in its claws.
"Natsume-nii!"
"Mr. Natsume!!"
"Natsume!!!"
"Go, Pidgey!"
Ash took out his Poké Ball, but unexpectedly, the giant Dragonite flapped its wings and soared into the sky.
"Boom—" A casual movement brought a gust of wind.
A strong wind whipped up sand and dust from the beach, weighing the group down so much they couldn't lift their heads.
"Onix, hold them off for us!"
"Super Armored Rhino!"
"Dragonite, use Tornado!"
Just as everyone was preoccupied with their own problems, a loud shout came from not far away.
The violent wind pressure was countered by the tornado, and the beach became quiet.
"Mr. Watari!"
"Mr. Watari, please save Natsume!"
Ash jumped up in a panic, almost reaching the Dragonite hovering in the sky.
"Huh?" Dragonite looked at him in surprise, then turned its gaze back to the sea not far away.
The aura of our clan's pride resides here!
"Mr. Watari, please save my teacher!"
"Wald, I've placed a locator on Natsume. The giant Dragonite has grabbed him and hasn't gone far. Go save him!"
Zheng Hui was clearly better prepared; he suddenly threw an instrument into the air.
"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Wataru took the equipment, and the Dragonite under his feet suddenly sped off in the direction the giant Dragonite had left.
"Mr. Watari...it should be alright, right?" Xiao Gang looked worriedly in the direction Watari had left.
"Oh, he's a Dragon-type Elite Four member, after all, and he has a Dragonite. Maybe he can negotiate with that giant Dragonite," Misty said optimistically.
The next second, a figure flew over like a streak of light; it was Lance and his Dragonite.
"boom!"
The two of them punched a large crater in the sand.
"Mr. Watari, are you alright?"
Everyone looked over and realized that Dragonite was carrying Lance. With Lance's soft belly as a cushion, it wasn't surprising.
"Woo~" Dragonite let out a mournful cry.
I misjudged him; he's not a prodigy, he's an ancestor.
......
......
......
"What strong wind pressure, meow!" Above Natsume's head, Meow Meow opened its mouth wide, letting the sea breeze rush in.
It's not that it doesn't want to shut up, but the wind makes it impossible for it to close its mouth.
"What did you say?"
The meowing sound was carried away by the wind, and when Natsume spoke, his voice was barely audible.
The Dragonite grabbed him, and no one knew what it was going to do with him, so it just kept flying rapidly in one direction.
The icy sea breeze slapped against his face, and Natsume felt like he was about to freeze to death.
Sensing that something was wrong with Natsume and Meowth, the giant Dragonite stopped.
She then realized that the human she had grabbed was turning blue and felt icy cold in her hand.
It looks like it's been dead for a while.
"Drink—" The giant Dragonite paused for a moment.
"Tch!" He then spat a mouthful of saliva onto Natsume.
"What is this, meow!"
The cat struggled in the viscous liquid, instinctively hating it.
Natsume suddenly felt the surroundings get hot. He opened his eyes and found himself enveloped in Dragonite's saliva.
"Meow, this saliva can keep you warm," Natsume kindly reminded him.
The cat paused, startled by the action of drooling.
"Seriously, meow, you're going to—meow!!"
Before Meowth could finish speaking, the giant Dragonite continued its rapid advance.
This time, with the help of saliva, Natsume felt much better.
He even gave Meow Meow a lesson on ocean Pokémon along the way.
"Look at that Pokémon, Mawile, my favorite Pokémon... That white one, Seijin, my favorite Pokémon... And that one..."
"How can there be so many favorites, meow?"
"Look at those two Blastoises, one male and one female. I'll tell you how to tell them apart: the one on top is the male, and the one on the bottom is the female."
"Don't look at what you shouldn't see, meow!"
......
"..."
Natsume's lecture-like explanations were quite hypnotic, and the Dragonite above my head started snoring.
"Wait a minute, how can the captain be sleeping, meow!" Meow Meow panicked.
Fortunately, although the giant Dragonite closed its eyes as if it had fallen asleep, it was still flying steadily in a certain direction.
Along the way, Natsume saw many islands.
But these all seemed to be isolated islands, and he could name very few of them.
"I'm getting closer and closer to the sea level. I'm not going to fall into the sea, am I, meow!" Meow's voice was a little worried.
Although the giant Dragonite had fallen asleep, her grip on Natsume's hand remained strong.
Natsume couldn't break free, and Meow Meow couldn't run away with the other party.
"Should we wake her up, meow? She doesn't seem to mean us any harm, meow." Meow said, hearing a soft snore coming from the side.
Turning my head, I saw that Natsume had also fallen asleep.
"..."
......
......
......
After an unknown amount of time, Natsume vaguely heard a meowing sound.
I opened my eyes and saw Meow Meow staring ahead with a terrified expression.
"We're going to crash into a cat! We're going to crash into a cat!"
Following the other person's gaze, Natsume realized that they had arrived at an unknown location.
Not far away, there is an island.
This island is extremely large, with many mountains on it.
At this moment, the giant Dragonite was already close to the sea surface, and even its passing could create a huge wave.
"Hurry up and figure out a way to wake her up, meow!"
As Meowth spoke, it bit the giant Dragonite's hand, but it had no effect whatsoever.
"Why don't you poop on her hand? Maybe that will wake her up," Natsume said.
Like a harbinger of doom, just as it was about to crash into the island, a pair of enormous vertical pupils suddenly opened wide.
The giant Dragonite stopped after flapping its wings.
Natsume could see that many trees on the island had been uprooted by the commotion and flown several miles away.
Where is this?
Natsume looked at the island in front of him with a strange expression.
It wasn't until the giant Dragonite placed him and Meowth on the island that he realized the island was shrouded in mist.
