A faint smell of the sea filled the air. The iron bars were rusted from the dampness. This was a cell, a natural cave used to imprison prisoners.

Another cry, like that of a child, rang out. The chains clanged as he cried.

"Luffy, you're too noisy."

"That's Zorro," someone said. "He too is in shackles, tied to a rock in his cell."

"Isn't that right? You can't even beat that bastard González? You really miscalculated!"

"I understand," Mercaka said. She leaned against the rock wall, her hands bound but not shackled. Perhaps the pirates thought she was just a child and posed no threat. If she were a wolf or a monster, she could be chained, but if she were a rabbit, she could be tied up with rope.

6. Mercaka pressed himself tightly against the iron bars with all his might. Judging from the sound, there seemed to be another cell inside Luffy's cell. Mercaka's voice was coming from there.
