Chapter 80 Hulk's Power
Chapter 80 Hulk's Power
Chapter 80 Hulk's Power
"Are you still alive, Frank?"
There was no response.
Li En turned her head.
Frank was tilting his head, leaning against the big tree.
Blood was flowing from the corner of his mouth, his chest was sunken, and the white skull had been stained red.
His eyes were closed and he was unconscious, but his chest was still rising and falling. He wasn't dead yet, but he was close to dying.
Li En moved his feet, his eyes fixed on the huge green figure in front of him.
In his vision, Hulk's skin appeared green, but his entire body was enveloped in a red glow that only he could see.
This situation is exactly the same as the white-dressed bio-mutant encountered on the second floor in Resident Evil 9.
It seems to be full of weaknesses, all of which can be exploited to deliver a critical hit.
But in reality, this also proves that this big guy in front of us has no weaknesses at all.
With a vibranium dagger in his right hand, Li En moved away from Frank, diverting Hulk's attention.
Hulk seemed a little confused at this moment.
He watched as Naoki's fist repeatedly opened and closed, then clenched again.
Then he turned his head, stared at Li En, and clenched his huge fist again.
He was somewhat confused as to why his attack had been blocked by a small knife.
He glanced at Li En's small body and then at the vibranium dagger that looked like a tree branch.
He opened his arms and roared at Li En.
"Aww!!"
A powerful sonic boom erupted from Hulk's gaping maw, causing the surrounding trees to tremble violently.
Large swaths of leaves were torn off and swept into the sky.
As Li En retreated deeper into the woods, he asked, "Big guy, what's your name?"
His response was met with an even more ferocious green giant fist.
Li En raised the dagger. The moment the blade touched his fist, he jerked it upwards.
The blade sliced through the green skin, producing a piercing metallic scraping sound and sending sparks flying.
It made a clanging sound.
Hulk's right fist involuntarily veered towards the sky, and his entire body was also pulled wide open by this clever force.
But Li En did not press his advantage.
When it just slashed across the fist, the vibranium dagger, with its sharpness capable of easily cutting through alloys, failed to cut through Hulk's skin, leaving only a faint white mark.
Even with the added bonus of the title "Bio-Destroyer," this strike still failed to break through the defense.
He continued to retreat step by step, and asked again, "My name is Li En. What about you? Do you have a name?"
Hulk looked visibly confused when asked the question.
After a moment, he seemed unable to figure it out and gave up thinking about it.
He roared again and charged towards Li En.
This time, he leaped into the air, pulled his right arm back, and punched down at Li En's head.
Li En lowered his body slightly, reversed his grip on the dagger, and moved forward to meet the attack.
The moment the blade touched the fist, he spun to the side, redirecting the force of the impact away from his body.
Hulk's massive body traced an arc through the air, smashing every tree it touched to pieces.
He was thrown a long way before crashing to the ground, where he braced his hands against the earth to stop his flying body.
This was not a result of Lee Eun's physical strength.
Rather, it was caused by the inertia of Hulk's own force after his power was deflected.
Li En quickly followed, arriving in front of Hulk again. Seeing Hulk's somewhat unfocused gaze, he said once more, "How about I call you Hulk?"
"Hulk!"
Hulk stood up and roared to the sky.
This time, his howl was no longer a meaningless roar, but a clear Hulk syllable.
After his roar, he looked at Li En again.
The anger on his face subsided somewhat.
There's no longer that burning rage, that feeling of wanting to tear everything apart.
But he didn't intend to give up the attack just like that.
Hulk suddenly stretched out his right hand, grabbed a large tree with a diameter of about half a meter, and snapped it open.
With a snap, he tore the big tree off, as easily as an ordinary person tearing a branch from a green belt, and held it in his hand.
He swung the large tree with one hand, using it as a weapon, and swept it across.
Li En immediately bent his right leg, forming a sloping arc with his body, and handed over the vibranium dagger.
The moment the blade touched the tree trunk, he sprang upwards.
The massive tree trunk was sent flying into the sky, the force of the deflection even causing Hulk to stumble.
Hulk released his grip, and the tree trunk whooshed into the sky, disappearing without a trace.
Hulk stared intently at Li En, two streams of hot air escaping from his nostrils.
He suddenly plunged his hands into the ground and yanked them upwards.
A large patch of soil, mixed with tree roots and rocks, was lifted up by this enormous force and turned into a tsunami that pressed down on Li En.
Li En immediately stomped his right foot, leaped away, and hid behind a thick tree trunk, tucking his body in.
Soil, tree roots, and stones struck the tree trunk, making a crackling sound.
This large tree, nearly a meter in diameter, blocked the mud and rocks.
Click!
A crisp sound came from above.
Li En immediately lowered his body, lifted his left foot off the ground, and twisted his body by pushing off with his right foot.
In an instant, he flipped 180 degrees, and instead of facing the ground, he was now facing the sky.
As he flipped over, his right hand, wielding a vibranium dagger, flashed a silvery-white arc.
He blocked the giant green fist that had smashed through a tree and was hurtling straight at him.
A crisp clang rang out.
Using the force of the twist, Li En once again deflected the fist to the side.
Hulk's body flipped and fell to the ground.
When he stood up again, the corners of his mouth twitched downwards, as if he was very dissatisfied with the failed sneak attack.
Seeing the small figure regain its footing, Hulk spread his arms and stomped his right leg forward, instantly cracking the ground.
He leaned back, spreading his arms as wide as possible, and then brought them together in front of him.
Snap! Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted in the air.
Starting from the point of the clap, a violent shockwave swept outwards in all directions.
Trees within a radius of less than half a meter were snapped in half by the force of the palm strike.
This shockwave, comparable to a flash flood, instantly leveled everything within a hundred-meter radius of the forest.
Li En was also feeling bad.
Upon discovering that Hulk had actually thought of using palm strikes as an attack method, he immediately curled up into a ball.
When the shockwave hit his arm, an irresistible force sent him flying, smashing through seven or eight giant trees in his path.
He slammed the vibranium dagger into the ground with his right hand, and it slid for nearly a hundred meters, leaving a deep trench, before finally coming to a stop.
A series of sharp, stinging pains shot through my back, arms, and calves, and blood seeped from the wounds.
Li En stood up straight again, panting heavily.
The sound of propellers echoed from the sky.
After the forest was cleared, Ross, who was already sitting in an armed helicopter in the sky, finally saw what was happening below.
He was more interested in the strange human, Lee En, than the insane Hulk.
If the ability to deflect Hulk's punches was due to Chinese Kung Fu or techniques unknown to him, then it must be something he didn't know.
After being hit head-on by a shockwave that could clear an area of 100 meters, being blown hundreds of meters away, and crashing through so many large trees, how could they not die?
Is this guy a super soldier?
Even Captain America should be injured by now.
The roar of the armed helicopter's rotors caught Hulk's attention.
He looked up, stared at the helicopter, and roared angrily, "Hulk!"
"Leave immediately!" General Ross gave the order right away, giving Lee En one last deep look.
His daughter was still unconscious on the helicopter and had to be evacuated first.
When Hulk realized the helicopter was about to leave, he immediately lowered his body and pushed off with both legs.
The ground instantly cracked open, creating a crater nearly ten meters wide.
He transformed into a green cannonball and hurtled toward the helicopter in the sky.
"Get out of here faster!" Ross yelled urgently upon seeing this. "Increase altitude! Quickly!"
The helicopter immediately tilted its nose up and climbed at full speed into the sky.
Just as Hulk was about ten meters away from the helicopter, his momentum finally gave out, and his body was violently pulled back by gravity. "Hulk!"
With a loud thud, Hulk crashed heavily to the ground, only able to watch helplessly as the helicopter disappeared into the clouds.
"Hulk—cough, cough." Li En's voice rang out from not far away.
His clothes were now tattered and torn, and his arms and legs were covered with fine bloodstains.
He walked forward slowly, his tone as calm as if nothing had happened.
"Have you had enough? Are you happy now?"
Hulk braced himself on the ground, stood up, turned to face Lee, and looked puzzled.
"How about we take a break first?"
Li En gripped the vibranium dagger in his backhand, concealing the blade under his forearm, and continued speaking calmly.
"We've been fighting for so long, let's go get a burger, Hulk."
"Hulk".
The sound of the helicopter could no longer be heard.
Hulk didn't seem so angry anymore, and the expression on his face gradually softened.
Upon hearing the word "hamburger," his green skin began to lighten, and his massive body began to slowly shrink.
A moment later, Hulk completely transformed into a naked, normal human being and collapsed to the ground with a thud.
Li En stepped forward.
As soon as I got to his side, I saw Banner open his eyes and slowly wake up.
He looked at Li En, who had appeared before him, with a bewildered expression, his voice weak and confused: "Who are you? Where am I? What happened?"
Lee took off his tattered police jacket and tossed it to the naked Banner, explaining in a rapid-fire voice, "Your experiment went wrong, your body has mutated, and your girlfriend Betty has fallen into a coma."
"What?" Banner took the tattered police uniform and was frantically wrapping it around his waist when he heard this, and he froze.
Li En didn't give him time to process it, and continued, "You destroyed the entire experimental site, killed several soldiers, and seriously injured my buddy."
"General Ross has already evacuated with your unconscious girlfriend Betty in an armed helicopter."
He stared into Banner's eyes, completely disregarding whether the other understood.
"Now, make your choice."
"You'll just wait to be arrested and taken away for dissection and research—of course, you'll most likely mutate again then."
"Or, come back with me and become a teacher at my school."
"At least, with me here, I can stop you when your body starts to mutate."
Choose.
"Wait, you said my body has mutated—"
"But, can you stop me?" Banner glanced around.
Those giant trees snapped in half, the shocking deep pits in the ground, and that long, furrow-like ravine.
What kind of devastation must these things have endured to become like this?
And this man in front of me actually said he could stop that mutated monster?
You're not lying, are you?
Li En did not respond to his question.
He bent down and took off his tattered police trousers, throwing them to Banner.
Then, right in front of Banner, he changed into a complete special operations suit directly from the space warehouse.
"What!?" Banner's eyes widened as he watched the man in front of him suddenly change into a complete combat suit.
He instantly understood that the person in front of him possessed supernatural power.
But he was more interested in finding his girlfriend Betty than the suspicious man in front of him.
Li En did not continue to persuade him.
He turned around and walked towards Frank.
That guy is going to die if he's not taken to the hospital soon.
"Your girlfriend is currently in a coma."
"It's estimated that the military's medical resources are insufficient to save her, and there's even less chance for you now."
After saying that, Li En said no more and started walking.
Banner hastily pulled his tattered police uniform and trousers onto his body, then looked up again at the forest that resembled a hurricane-ravaged landscape.
He gritted his teeth and ran after Li En in the direction he had left.
