Chapter 45 Tony's Attack
Chapter 45 Tony's Attack
"How is Fury doing now?"
Shendu sat in the central command room of S.H.I.E.L.D., with the cell monitors in front of him. Fury, Ross, and the others were quietly inside.
"His mental state is so-so; he's in a daze. Before this, he was beaten up by those generals and didn't fight back," Steve replied from the side.
The Holy Lord nodded and instructed, "Find an opportunity to rescue Fury. Remember, don't arouse his suspicion, and don't let him come into contact with Tony."
"Natasha, after you cripple the systems within S.H.I.E.L.D., go find Banner. He should have seen the Security Council's condemnation of Fury on TV. Tell Banner that Fury has gone mad and that Tony has completely broken with S.H.I.E.L.D."
Natasha and Steve took a step back, their bodies turning into shadows and disappearing.
"Fury, don't you have anything to say? You thought you were in control of everything, but you didn't realize you were being used as a pawn." Ross looked at Fury, who was now lying on the ground, with a bruise on his face.
Fury had regained his composure and ignored Ross's taunts.
"Tony didn't cooperate with Shendu, he should already have a plan. We still have Steve and Natasha. Banner isn't here right now, but Captain should already have his own plans." Fury looked at the corner of the room.
"What do you mean? You expect Steve to single-handedly take on S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Ross also calmed down.
The lights in the room were suddenly turned off, and now it's pitch black.
"What's going on? Is the Holy Lord about to make a move?"
Ross looked around, but unfortunately he couldn't see anything. He could only keep his fist clenched to defend against any potential danger.
boom!
The door was kicked open, and a beam of bright light shone on everyone's faces, blinding them.
"Chief!" Steve's voice came from the source of the light.
Fury narrowed his eyes as he listened to the voice of the newcomer: "Steve, you really did break in."
"This isn't the time to talk about that. Natasha is hacking into the security system here, and Valon is on his way to her. Natasha won't last much longer." Steve reached out and helped Fury up.
All the agents within S.H.I.E.L.D. have been eliminated by Shendu, and the interior is now completely empty. The group, led by Steve, encountered no obstacles.
"I remember this route is longer. Shouldn't it be faster to go straight through the main gate?" Ross asked, following at the back and looking up at the stairs.
"Fool, do you think the Holy Lord would be completely unprepared? The main gate is the most dangerous place right now. Who knows how many traps that madman will set up?" Fury explained irritably.
The group followed Steve to Fury's office, where the floor-to-ceiling windows were broken, and a steel cable connected one end to the office and the other end to the roof of a distant building.
"Wait a minute." Fury didn't immediately use the zipline on the steel cable, but turned and walked to the safe next to him.
"They're definitely not from Earth; they didn't even bother to dispose of this safe." Fury crouched down, looking at the safe, which showed no signs of being damaged.
Password, fingerprint, voiceprint, and retinal detection.
Steve watched Fury perform a series of actions without stopping him. He watched as Fury took out a pager from the safe; it was very retro and looked like it no longer had any communication capabilities.
"Fury, what time is it? You're still holding this antique? Are you planning to sell it for money when you're down on your luck?!" Ross said angrily.
Some time after Fury and the others left, Shendu's figure emerged from a corner of the room, looked at the open safe in the corner, and then gradually disappeared.
At Stark Industries, Tony lay on the sofa, a button in his hand.
"Sir..." Jarvis's voice rang out.
"I know that since we have guests, we should always prepare some gifts."
Tony interrupted Jarvis, pressed the button in his hand, and the room's layout changed. The walls flipped, and a large number of rocket launchers flipped over from the other side of the wall.
Tony picked up the wine glass on the table and raised it to the air in front of him: "Since you're here, why not show yourself and have a drink with me?"
The figure of the Holy Lord appeared before Tony: "How did you find me?"
Tony laughed and said, "It wasn't you who discovered me, it was Jarvis."
The Holy Lord raised an eyebrow and looked at the display screen beside him. The image on the screen had changed, and a new heat source had appeared in front of Tony.
"Sensors? Ordinary sensors can't detect me," the Holy Lord said.
Tony pushed his glass towards the Holy Lord: "Pressure. As long as you appear in this room, the pressure on the floor will change. It's quite easy to detect you based on the real-time pressure changes."
"Humans always do strange things." The Holy Lord did not drink the wine in his glass.
Tony walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and placed his hand on the table beside it.
Patches of red metal appeared, covering his body: "I don't want to say anything more to you."
With a whooshing sound, Tony, clad in armor, burst out of Stark Tower, launching a barrage of rocket launchers aimed at the Holy Lord inside the room.
A violent explosion rang out, and the figure of the Holy Lord emerged from the thick smoke, unharmed.
"Just as I thought." Tony flew through the air, his voice coming from his armor: "Ordinary weapons can't hurt you."
"Since you know this, why did you still try? You have too much money? You blew up your own property and you still act all confident." The Holy Lord provoked.
"You're just another invader after Loki. You don't really think we can't do anything to you, do you?"
Tony waved his hand in the air, and a roar came from afar. A large legion of steel flew in from a distance, flying in perfect unison behind Tony.
The Holy Lord narrowed his eyes as he watched this scene: "Don't you know my abilities?"
Tony laughed and said, "You can try and see if your ability to control inanimate objects can control my Steel Corporation."
The Holy Lord raised his hand, and the power of the Rat Talisman rippled in his palm, controlling a suit of armor without any surprises.
When he tried to command the armor to fire a shot at Tony, there was no response.
"You've noticed, haven't you? Even if you can control inanimate objects, you can't pose any threat to me."
Tony raised his hand, and a beam of energy condensed in it before firing a laser: "My legions must go through a process no matter what order they receive. Whether it's my order or not, they won't react without going through this process."
The Holy Lord raised his arm to block the laser beam, and a stinging sensation came from his arm. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at the wound on his arm.
Tony, observing Shendu's reaction, continued, "You felt it, didn't you? Guess what I discovered from your blood? And guess what weapon I made targeting you using that information?"
