Chapter 23, Part 5, Part 2
Chapter 23, Part 5, Part 2
At the same time, Scarface and Fatty on the left and right flanks attacked simultaneously.
Scarface clenched his fists, thick, dark red Yuan energy surging from them, and a chilling, bloody aura spread across the surrounding area with the force of his punches.
He followed a fierce and unparalleled path of external training, unleashing a barrage of punches with his fists crossed, the force of which exploded like cannon fire, carrying the power to split mountains and shatter rocks, directly targeting the major acupoints on Li Yi's left side.
The fat man looked bulky and clumsy, but his footwork was as slippery as a snake.
The short dagger in his hand gleamed coldly, its blade covered with a faint blue light, clearly poisoned; a mere graze would be enough to cripple a person's cultivation.
He suddenly lowered his body, spun around on the ground, and thrust his dagger straight at Li Yi's knees and ankles with vicious, ruthless attacks aimed directly at vital points.
The middle-aged man and the young man with the bow who were providing support from the rear did not rush in.
The middle-aged man's fingers flew across the paper, forming fine, hair-like threads of Yuan energy that condensed from the void, invisible and traceless, quietly wrapping around Li Yi's limbs and joints, intending to restrict his movements and cut off his room for evasion.
The young man stood behind, his longbow drawn taut like a full moon. Pure Yuan energy rapidly gathered, condensing into an incredibly solid Yuan energy arrow. The arrowhead was locked firmly on Li Yi's back, his Yuan energy contained, waiting for his companion to restrain him before unleashing a fatal blow.
The five men moved with perfect control, their offense and defense seamlessly integrated, their auras intertwined and sealing off all directions. Clearly, they were seasoned veterans who had fought side by side for many years, their teamwork was so perfect that they gave no one a chance to breathe.
Li Yi stood still, his robes fluttering without wind, and his double pupils shone brightly.
He stood firm as a pine tree, neither retreating nor dodging, facing the encirclement of five people head-on.
"I'll break your bow first."
Before he finished speaking, ancient runes suddenly lit up Li Yi's body, golden light burst forth from within him, and a pair of golden divine wings that blotted out the sky suddenly unfolded behind him.
That was the manifestation of the Golden-Winged Roc's magical technique. Its wings stretched out for several meters, and each feather was engraved with ancient Dao patterns. The golden light flowed around it, and its sharpness was piercing, as if each feather could cleave the void.
As soon as the Golden-Winged Roc unleashed its treasure technique, a fierce wind suddenly rose between heaven and earth. The gale swept up gravel and dust, making them dance wildly in the sky. The stubborn rocks on the ground were blown away by the air waves generated by the wings, shooting in all directions like a barrage of hidden weapons. Even the void rippled and trembled incessantly.
With a flash of golden light, his figure vanished from the spot.
The young man holding the bow's pupils contracted sharply, a storm raging in his heart. His fingers gripped the bowstring tightly, and before he could release the arrow, the golden figure was already inches away in front of him.
He frantically tried to deflect the arrow to block it, but the unparalleled speed of the Great Roc Technique gave him no chance whatsoever.
Li Yi did not use any complicated moves. Instead, he used the immense force of the roc's swooping wing to gather his Yuan energy in his palm and struck the young man's chest directly with his palm.
"Snap!"
The sound of ribs breaking was clearly audible. A palm-print-shaped hole burst open in the back of the young man's clothes, and he flew backward like a kite with a broken string, flying dozens of feet before crashing heavily into the mountain wall. Blood gushed from his mouth, and the Yuan energy arrow on the bowstring instantly dissipated. He slid down the rock wall to the ground and completely lost consciousness.
From flapping its wings to striking, it takes only a moment.
"Fifth brother!"
The middle-aged man's eyes were bloodshot as he roared. His hands, which were forming hand seals, suddenly exerted force, and the Yuan energy threads that were wrapped around the void instantly tightened, wrapping around Li Yi like iron chains, trying to forcibly bind his body.
Li Yi didn't even turn around.
His golden wings flapped again, and he soared into the sky. The few strands of Yuan energy barely grazed his feet, without even touching the hem of his clothes.
While still in mid-air, he turned around, his Yuan energy surging and roaring, and unleashed the Qilin Fist.
He didn't hold back with that punch.
A phantom of a Qilin, formed from Yuan energy, appeared in mid-air. It was pitch black, with crimson eyes, and stood on flames. It let out a long roar that shook the surrounding area, causing rocks to fall from the mountainside.
The phantom of the Qilin, carrying a world-destroying power, swooped down towards the middle-aged man.
"No……"
The middle-aged man screamed in agony, frantically forming hand seals as threads of Yuan energy wove together in front of him into a dense net, attempting to block the attack.
But it couldn't be stopped.
The moment the Qilin Fist landed, the Yuan Power Net was torn to shreds like paper. The middle-aged man was pierced through by the Qilin phantom, a fist-sized bloody hole appearing in his chest, both front and back exposed.
He glanced down, his lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but in the end he couldn't utter a single word and fell straight backward.
"Third brother!"
A fierce roar suddenly erupted, the scarred man's eyes turned bloodshot, and his Yuan energy surged violently. Layers of dark red Yuan energy wrapped around his fists like flames, and the veins beneath his skin bulged, exuding a ferocious aura of fearlessness.
He locked onto Li Yi, who was caught in mid-air with no leverage, knowing that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kill him. Without holding back, he unleashed his fists, accompanied by howling winds and muffled sounds of tearing through the air, as he fiercely attacked Li Yi from mid-air.
In mid-air, Li Yi gently folded the golden wings behind him, the feathers swirling with a warm yet domineering golden light. His figure, however, defied common sense and sank three feet down, just avoiding the scarred man's powerful double punches from the front.
The airflow was violently blasted apart by the force of the punch, whistling past Li Yi's shoulder and bringing with it a sharp gust of wind.
Just when everyone thought Li Yi had safely evaded the attack, an unexpected turn of events occurred.
Scarface's straight punch suddenly changed direction midway, his arm twisting violently, transforming the powerful straight punch into a sharp swing punch in an instant.
This move concealed countless hidden tricks. The previous straight punch was merely a deliberate feint to lure the enemy. The real killing move had already been quietly brewing. It slashed diagonally upwards from the left rib, the fist wind as condensed as steel, locking onto Li Yi's vital waist and abdomen at an extremely tricky angle, sealing off all room for evasion.
The light in Li Yi's double pupils flowed, and everything in the world lost its speed and disguise in his eyes. The trajectory of moves, the flow of Yuan energy, and the slightest movement of muscles were all clearly visible.
With a barely perceptible twitch in the scarred man's shoulder muscles, Li Yi had already discerned his opponent's next move and predicted the precise landing point of this hook punch.
With his unparalleled insight, the double pupils had already seen through the flaws and trajectory of this move perfectly.
Unfortunately, he was in mid-air with no foothold to lean on, his body suspended in the void, making it impossible for him to make any significant movements or dodges.
There's no way to avoid it!
"Bang!"
A dull, heavy thud echoed through the mountain valley as the crimson fist slammed into Li Yi's left ribs without restraint. The violent energy instantly invaded his body, rampaging and raging along his meridians.
Li Yi let out a low groan, and his whole body flew backward like a kite with a broken string, struck by a heavy hammer, crashing heavily onto the hard rocky ground. He tumbled twice with the force of the impact before barely managing to regain his balance.
The excruciating pain spread from my left rib throughout my body, as if countless steel needles were piercing my flesh and bones. My skin and flesh swelled and turned blue. Although no bone had broken off, a rib had cracked open. Every breath aggravated the wound, bringing a tearing pain.
