Chapter 45 Taste your own brains!
Chapter 45 Taste your own brains!
Hubble understood what Jackson meant. He had seen Lin Ze beat up Jordan, so he immediately ran to Lin Ze's side and reached out to help him up. But his real intention was to stop Lin Ze from attacking Robinson.
That was a really bad foul! He had absolutely no intention of attacking; he was just going for the player!
"Kid, welcome to the adult world! Want to be an All-Star? If you can't even handle this basic stuff, then you should go back to Asia and suckle!"
Robinson's move was clearly aimed at committing an offensive foul!
He wanted to teach Lin Ze a lesson, to make Lin Ze fear him, and to let Lin Ze know that there are some people you can't mess with!
"It's okay, I'm calm." After being helped up by Hubble, Lin Ze had no intention of rushing over to seek revenge on Robinson: "I'll take care of him the way basketball does, I'll get my revenge on the basketball court, so Ron, don't worry."
Lin Ze's calmness surprised Hubble. He breathed a sigh of relief and patted Lin Ze on the shoulder, saying, "Let Shak teach him a lesson later."
Let Shaq teach him a lesson?
Lin Ze didn't reply, but he pursed his lips slightly.
It's one thing to ask your older brother for help at other times, but now that you've been beaten up, do you still ask your older brother for help? Is that even manly?
The referee called an offensive foul on this play, which was no surprise, and both Lin Ze and Robinson accepted the punishment.
"Lin seems a little scared," Wilmarcus said with some disappointment. "Robinson showed Lin how ruthless he is with a brutal move. To be honest, I was really hoping to see Lin rush over and yell at Robinson."
"Young people need to have guts. If Lin is so scared tonight, he will be in even worse shape in future matches. More people will attack him and try to bully him."
Smith added, "Lin has never experienced anything like this before, and he has no chance to experience it. The Bulls have Rodman and Longley ahead of them, and Dallas is so bad that they won't be targeted at all."
"So although Lin didn't play well in the past few years, he had a smooth run. But this year is different. He is a starter and can even be called a star. Naturally, he will face completely different challenges than before."
"Hopefully he can pull through, otherwise he'll never become a true star."
Jackson obviously couldn't hear what the commentators were saying. If he could?
He would tell these commentators: You guys have never seen a madman before.
After Hubble pulled Lin Ze up, Jackson's first thought was to call a timeout and substitute Lin Ze.
He wanted to calm Lin Ze down and protect him.
But then Jackson thought of Lin Ze's personality.
Given Lin Ze's personality, if I were to substitute him now, he might just grab a chair from the bench and go on the court next time he comes on.
An even worse outcome is that Lin Ze calmed down and held back this time, and then he will become the target of all the seasoned veterans and be humiliated in turn.
Therefore, for the sake of the future, and to prevent Lin Ze from causing even more serious trouble, he decided not to replace Lin Ze, but to let him vent his anger first.
In fact, Lin Ze has never been in a fight in public since joining the league, and he rarely has conflicts with anyone.
But the fact that he dominated Jordan back then cast a huge shadow on people like Jackson and Harper who were there.
With Jackson's tacit approval and indulgence, Lin Ze once again moved to the low post. He backed down and blocked Robinson behind him, ignoring Robinson's increasingly arrogant trash talk and his dirty tricks.
He was gathering his strength.
He caught the ball, leaned back, found Robinson's position and center of gravity, mustered all his strength, and suddenly turned around. He swung his elbow without any attempt to conceal it, making it as big as a helicopter wing, and smashed it towards Robinson's head.
With a "thud," Lin Ze's elbow slammed directly into Robinson's face, and a large amount of blood gushed from the corner of his eye. Lin Ze had broken the corner of his eye.
Lin Ze placed the ball on the floor, looked at the referee, and spread his hands, saying, "I didn't do it on purpose; it was an accident."
Then he looked at Robinson and said, "Go collect your damn medal, old man! You welcome me into the adult world?"
"I'll send you out!"
The referee quickly stopped the game and intervened in the conflict. Lin Ze did not intend to attack Robinson further, but simply stood there. He even showed goodwill by calling the team doctor for Robinson.
Most of the Spurs players didn't see what happened, but judging from Lin Ze's behavior and "goodwill," they seemed to believe it was an accident.
Instead of attacking Lin Ze, they quickly called the team doctor and waited to see how things would develop.
As Robinson was helped up from the floor and had his eyebrow bandaged to stop the bleeding before walking toward the bench, Lin Ze raised his hands and shouted, "I swear I meant no harm, I swear, I just wanted to apologize."
Seeing his appearance, the three referees softened and believed him.
Although they remained on high alert, they allowed Lin Ze to get close to Robinson.
"I'm sorry, David, I swear I didn't mean to hurt your eye." Lin Ze showed his goodwill, then moved closer to Robinson as if to give him a hug.
Lin Ze brought his mouth close to his ear and whispered in a voice only Robinson could hear, "I originally wanted you to taste your own brains."
After Lin Ze finished speaking, he ignored Robinson's gaze, which was hard to decipher as to whether it was shock or fear, stepped back, left, and returned to the Lakers' bench.
"Was that great?" O'Neal asked excitedly. "I've been wanting to teach that softie a lesson like that for ages! That bastard shamelessly stole my scoring title!"
"You should have told Shaq sooner," Lin Ze said. "I would have used more force and made sure he couldn't stand up tonight."
"FUXX!" O'Neal laughed loudly, "My fault! It's all my fault!"
"Very good," Jackson said. "I was surprised the referee didn't eject you. I liked your acting."
"It was just a regular flagrant foul." Lin Ze also saw the referee's gesture, shrugged, and said, "I wonder if it will give David a lifetime of fear."
"That bastard did it on purpose! He really wanted to kill me." Robinson sat on the sidelines, his voice trembling slightly. "Greg, take him down!"
"If we're going to fight, it'll be in the playoffs." Popovich said with a grim face, "The regular season isn't worth it. If we meet again in the playoffs, I'll show him what we're made of, and I'll teach him a lesson."
"As for now, calm down, David, calm down!"
