"What are your thoughts?" Su asked Anna with a smile, who had calmed down as soon as they entered the town.
"Familiar, yet strange," Anna countered. "And you?"
"Me too."
Although Sue's documents stated that he was from Mystic Falls and that he had told Anna that he had left the town a long time ago, this was actually his first time in Mystic Falls. His understanding of the town was limited to what was shown in the TV series The Vampire Diaries, uh... the key point is that he hadn't even finished watching it.
Anna asked curiously, "Where do you live?"
Su took out his identification and handed it to Anna. It was the first time Anna had ever seen Su's identification. She took it curiously and looked at the address, and then... her expression instantly turned strange.
Noticing Anna's strange expression, Su asked casually, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
Anna returned the documents to Su, saying in an ambiguous tone, "Your home is my home."
Su shrugged: "If you still want to stay with me after your wish comes true, then my house will naturally be your house."
Anna shook her head: "That's not what I meant. I meant that the address on your document was originally my home, one of the oldest buildings in town, where my mother used to run an old pharmacy."
"Is it such a coincidence?"
Ms. Su was surprised, and then she recalled that Anna and her mother Pearl did want to buy back the original house in the TV series. The person they contacted was Jenna, who was the aunt of the female lead Elena. The property seemed to be inherited by her brother-in-law's family, and her brother-in-law was Elena's father.
Su didn't know why the address on the document the system assigned to her was this one. It might be a coincidence, or it might not. But in any case, this was both her 'home' and Anna's home. She had to find out the situation. If the house was still in Elena's parents' hands, she would buy it.
"Hi."
A middle-aged woman with short blonde hair, wearing a police uniform and badge, walked up to the sports car and greeted the two people inside in a friendly manner. As she looked them up and down, she introduced herself: "I am the mayor's sheriff, Liz Forbes. Where are you from?"
“New York,” Su greeted him casually, smiling as he added, “I run a restaurant in Brooklyn, which is currently undergoing renovations. I’m taking advantage of this time to visit my hometown.”
"You're from a small town? I don't remember you." Liz Forbes was somewhat surprised.
Su shrugged: "I have no recollection of this place either, but it tells me that this is indeed my hometown."
As she spoke, Su (Nuoqian's) handed over the documents.
Liz Forbes was equally surprised after checking it out: "This looks like the Gilbert family's house. Are you related to them?"
Ms. Su shook her head: "I don't know. I left here when I was old enough to remember things, and I have no recollection of Gilbert. I came back this time to see what my 'old home' looks like, and if possible, I'd like to buy this house. Sheriff Forbes, do you have Gilbert's contact information or can you tell me where he lives?"
“Of course.” Liz Forbes enthusiastically took out the document, wrote down the address and number, and even pointed out the directions. “Anyway, welcome back to Mystic Falls.”
"Thank you."
After thanking the police chief, Su accepted the address and his identification, then waved goodbye.

Chapter 79 The Vampire Diaries Sisterhood
"Please have some tea." A gentle and virtuous middle-aged woman sat down next to Mrs. Su and Anna, warmly greeting the two young people who wanted to see their husbands and inquire about a property in their home.
This woman is named Miranda Gilbert, the wife of Rayson Gilbert, and the mother of Elena Gilbert, the protagonist of The Vampire Diaries.
To be precise, she is her adoptive mother. Elena's true background is very complicated and will only be revealed after her adoptive parents die and as the story unfolds.
Sue and Anna pretended to be a couple, and then used their restaurant in New York to create a persona. They chatted with Miranda for a long time, asking about her family and some things in the town.
About an hour later, the male head of the household, Rasen Gilbert, finally returned.
Rayson Gilbert is a university professor and doctor. Elena's biological mother gave birth to Elena in his clinic and then abandoned the child without saying goodbye. Rayson couldn't bear it, so he adopted Elena.
To reiterate, Leisen had no objection to selling the property; it was an old family house that had been vacant for many years.
Mysterious Falls is not a bustling town. The town's residents are mostly from different generations. Many people leave the town, but very few move in. Many vacant properties cannot find buyers even if they want to sell them.
Leisen wanted to take the two to see the house, and if they liked it, they could discuss the price. However, Su acted decisively and directly took out 500,000 yuan in cash from his backpack.
Stacks of bright green cash were piled on the table, leaving Rayson and Miranda dumbfounded.
"Are you sure you don't want to look at the house first?" Leisen said, somewhat dazed. "And the offer is too much. According to market price, that house is worth at most..."
"I don't care about the market price; I only care about how much it's worth in my heart."
Su's words were gentle, yet powerful.
The sports cars parked outside, the piles of cash in front of them, and the gentle yet powerful declaration all made Leisen and Miranda realize that this young man was extremely wealthy, and his personality was probably just as assertive and decisive as other rich people!
“We won’t be staying here permanently for the time being. If you feel bad about it, you can help look after the house when we leave.”
Leisen and Miranda exchanged a glance and nodded in agreement to the Su family.
A few hours later, after all the formalities were completed, Sue and Anna took the keys and entered the house that now belonged to them, their 'home'.
This house is located in the center of the town, near the main street, and is considered a mixed-use building for both commercial and residential purposes.
The first floor is spacious enough to be used as a shop, the second floor is for living, with three bedrooms and a bathroom, and the attic can be used as a storage room.
Anna walked through the house with a complicated expression, recalling many things that had happened there in the past. She came to the Su family on the first floor, looking out at the street, and hugged him tightly, resting her head on his back.
"Thank you!"
"Don't give me that crap. Even if no one else is around, don't think you have a chance. The couple status is fake!" Su Shi, somewhat oblivious to the romantic atmosphere, ruined Anna's grateful mood.
Anna stood up and punched Su Shi on the back, then changed the subject in an annoyed tone: "Now that you have a place to stay, what are you planning to do next?"
"Buying things!"
Su turned around and pointed to the empty house, saying, "There's no furniture or decorations at all. How can we live here? First, have someone clean and tidy this place up. I'll have my shadow clone take a plane to New York, and then use the Flying Thunder God Technique to buy some furniture and decorate it nicely."
"You don't need to go all the way to New York to buy those things, they're available here."
"New York is expensive!"
"..."
Anna didn't argue with Su about spending money. Anyway, with the Flying Thunder God, there was no difference between buying things in New York and buying things here. But she could do the cleaning herself, right? If Su didn't want to do housework, she could do it herself.
This was Anna's old home, and it was normal for her to want to clean it herself. Mr. Su, who didn't care, was about to agree, but just then he saw several young girls surrounding his car.
Thanks to the fact that people here develop very early, Su recognized the girls at a glance. They looked almost exactly like the girls in the TV series, only a little more innocent.
Elena Gilbert, Carolyn Forbes, Bonnie Bennett.
Elena Gilbert is the female lead in The Vampire Diaries. Sue only has two words to describe her: beautiful!
She's sweet and pretty, with a great figure. One of the most important reasons Su watched The Vampire Diaries was because the female lead was beautiful. The plot wasn't interesting? It didn't matter; the female lead's beauty was enough.
This is the exact opposite of a similar film like True Blood, whose female protagonist... well, it's hard to describe.
Caroline Forbes is a stylish and beautiful woman who loves to be in the spotlight, enjoys being the center of attention, and has a strong desire for control and competitiveness. She is a social queen.
Bonnie Bennet is strong-willed, kind, loving, funny, lively, optimistic, and understanding. She is very loyal and caring to her friends and has an indomitable spirit of self-sacrifice. At first, she suspected that she was a medium, but later she learned that she was a born witch.
Her ancestor was the one who placed a seal on the cemetery near the old church, sealing away Anna's mother and other vampires. She was once the handmaid of Catherine, a vampire who looked exactly like Elena and transformed the two male protagonists.
The three of them are good friends, best friends.
Ms. Su pushed open the door and waved to the three girls gathered around her car. Then she opened her wallet, took out a wad of US dollars, and smiled at the three girls who looked puzzled and curious. “My name is Ms. Su. I just bought this place. I have a job for you. Would you be interested? Clean this place for me. It’ll be five hundred US dollars each.”
Five hundred US dollars?!
The three girls' eyes lit up immediately. Caroline volunteered to answer for her friend, then extended her hand and introduced herself, "My name is Caroline Forbes. Is that Ferrari yours? Where are you from?"
"New York."
"As expected, you're from a big city. Your clothes are the latest style, right? I've seen them in magazines; a shirt that costs $9999. What do you do for a living?" Caroline Forbes has a sharp eye. The shirt Su is wearing is very understated; unless you know about fashion or luxury goods, it's hard to recognize it at a glance.
Caroline Forbes truly lives up to her reputation as a social queen. Not only does she have a keen eye, but she's also very proactive. When a wealthy and young stranger like Ms. Sue comes to town, as a social queen, she'll definitely try to find out firsthand information about her.
……
P.S.: Fifth update. The female lead in The Vampire Diaries is truly beautiful!
Chapter 80 The Level of Green Tea
Caroline Forbes made no attempt to hide her interest in the Su family, even though they had only just met and exchanged a few words.
As a prominent figure among her peers in the small town and the social queen of the school, Caroline Forbes has many suitors and admirers, but she only sees them as tools to satisfy her desire for fame. Being with them does not give her any sense of accomplishment; on the contrary, she may be ridiculed and pulled down from her queenly throne.
Su was different. He came from a big city, was rich, and dressed in luxurious clothes that even money couldn't buy in a small town. He was very young and exuded a captivating exotic charm.
If she could win him over and ride around town in his Ferrari, Caroline Forbes was certain she would instantly become the talk of the school and remain one of the most discussed topics for a long time.
Su looked down at her shirt and smiled at Caroline Forbes, saying, "You seem to know a lot about these things. You can give me some advice sometime in the future—I don't really know much about them."
“Sure, let’s exchange numbers. You have such a great figure and a very special aura. I know several brands of clothes that would suit you perfectly.” Caroline Forbes readily agreed, not only gaining a legitimate opportunity to contact the Su family again, but also conveniently obtaining the most crucial piece of information – her phone number.
Elena and Bonnie, standing nearby, were both envious and admiring. They couldn't possibly strike up a conversation and get a number as naturally as Caroline.
"I'll leave the inside to you. If you do it quickly and cleanly, in addition to the agreed-upon payment, I'll give each of you a small gift."
“Don’t worry, we’ll do a good job,” Bonnie assured her, and Elena nodded in agreement.
Caroline smiled and said, "I'll really look forward to the little gift you're sending."
Of the three girls, Caroline is the most manipulative.
This isn't meant as a derogatory term. Most girls in this country aspire to be the most popular person in school, the center of attention wherever they go. Therefore, most of the school's "queens" are, without exception, highly manipulative and cunning. Caroline in front of me is relatively rudimentary; she's not even as good as Serena in New York.
Sue got the three girls to start cleaning, while she and Anna made an excuse to go shopping and drove away. Once they reached a secluded spot, Sue found her shadow clone and had Anna take it out of town to the nearest airport. She then leisurely walked back.
When Su returned, she saw Elena wiping the furniture left in the house with a towel. She was very quick and diligent in her work, while Bonnie and Caroline were cleaning upstairs and in the attic.
The three had a clear division of labor: Elena was in charge of the first floor, Bonnie was in charge of the second floor, and Caroline was in charge of the attic.
In terms of difficulty, Bonnie was in charge of the most work on the second floor, with three bedrooms and a bathroom, all of which required special attention to cleaning; next was Caroline, who was in charge of the attic, which Su had previously inspected and found to be very dusty and difficult to clean; on the other hand, Elena's work on the first floor was relatively easier due to its layout and purpose.
Their division of labor was somewhat unreasonable. Bonnie was one thing; given her personality, it was normal for her to be in charge of the second floor, which had the most tiring and demanding work. But Caroline, with her strong desire for control and love of bossing others around, should have chosen the easiest floor, the first floor. Why did she assign the first floor to Elena? Besides, Caroline clearly had a crush on her; she should have chosen the first floor, where she would have the most opportunities to interact.
Sue thought it was unreasonable, but in fact it was the most reasonable one.
Since Caroline was interested in Su, how could she let him see her working in such a disheveled state? Did she not want to maintain her goddess image? She could do the work, but her image could not be ruined or frozen in time. Of course, she wouldn't do the most tiring work, so she could only settle for the attic as a second choice.
"You don't need to clean these pieces of furniture; I'll replace them with new ones later," Su reminded Elena, then added with a smile, "This house used to be yours, you know that?"
Elena shook her head blankly: "My family's?"
