But in Chu Hang's eyes, these once flawless illusions now resembled rough sketches drawn by a child, riddled with flaws. He could clearly see thin green energy lines extending from Loki's true form, like the strings of a marionette, forming the skeleton and movements of each illusion.
He could even see that the weaving technique of these energy lines was exquisite, but a few nodes appeared somewhat disordered due to the caster's unsettled state of mind.
“The third one from the left, Steve.” Chu Hang didn’t even bother to turn around, pointing to a Loki phantom that was trying to sneak away. “That’s the real one.”
Steve reacted to the sound, rushing forward in one stride, raising his shield high, and slamming it down.
Loki was shocked; he hadn't expected his illusion to be seen through so easily. He hurriedly raised his scepter to block.
The shield and scepter collided, producing a piercing metallic clang.
Tony's energy cannon arrived simultaneously, striking Loki's scepter precisely. The immense impact caused Loki to lose his grip on the weapon, and the scepter flew from his hand. Loki himself staggered backward.
A dark figure appeared behind him like a ghost.
He raised his hand and delivered a swift and clean chop to the back of Loki's neck.
Loki's vision went black, and without uttering a sound, he collapsed limply to the ground.
Tony slowly landed and opened his faceplate.
"Done." He shrugged, looking relaxed. "Easier than I thought. Alright, who's going to take this cosplay enthusiast home?"
Steve stepped forward and picked up the Mind Scepter from the ground. As he held the scepter, he felt a cold, evil power, and his eyes became extremely solemn.
Chu Hang stood still, spread his hands, and closed his eyes.
He could feel the free-floating energy particles in the air, the current in the city's power grid, and even the energy flow in Tony's armor reactor, all of which appeared to him as lines of readable text.
Chapter 104 The Secrets of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The atmosphere was tense aboard the Quinjet.
Loki, wearing a specially made metal gag, was strapped to a seat in the corner, like a packaged piece of dangerous goods.
He remained motionless, but his green eyes were not idle, slowly scanning the faces of everyone in the cabin, as if assessing the quality of their prey.
Tony Stark leaned against the cold bulkhead, arms crossed, looking annoyed.
“We should have pried him out of his mouth back in Germany,” he said, breaking the silence. “Use some medieval methods, and I dare say he’ll confess everything.”
“He’s a prisoner of war, Stark.” Steve Rogers sat opposite him, his brow furrowed. His posture was always like a soldier’s: upright and alert.
“He killed eighty people in three minutes.” Tony sneered, unyielding. “That was a terrorist attack, not war.”
“If we also use torture, then we are no different from him.”
“Of course there’s a difference.” Tony raised an eyebrow. “The difference is that we won, and he lost.”
Chu Hang closed his eyes, leaned back in his chair, and ignored the argument between the two.
His mind was about to explode.
The talent of the "Number One Mage of the Nine Realms" is like an all-powerful decoder, frantically analyzing everything within him—the source energy of the Cosmic Cube, the energy of the binary star form, and the physique of the gods.
But now, these gibberish codes are being deciphered line by line.
He saw the power structure within his own body.
The Cosmic Cube energy is a three-dimensional matrix composed of countless blue runes, precise and stable, containing the laws of space.
In binary form, it is a pure ocean of golden energy, wild and unrestrained.
The newly acquired divine physique, like a golden net of laws, envelops and connects all of this, granting them a higher level of life.
The fighter jet landed smoothly on the deck of the space carrier.
Nick Fury and a team of heavily armed agents were already waiting.
The hatch opened, and a cold, high-altitude sea breeze rushed in.
Loki was roughly escorted away by two agents. As he passed Chu Hang, he suddenly stopped. He turned his head slightly and stared intently at Chu Hang with his green eyes.
The anger and contempt from before were gone from his eyes, replaced by a pure, inquisitive confusion.
He couldn't understand why his prized illusions could be so easily seen through by a mortal.
Chu Hang slowly opened his eyes and calmly looked back at him.
Their eyes met, but there was no spark, only cold scrutiny.
Loki was confined in a specially designed glass cylinder, suspended in the vast space at the very center of the mothership. Fury explained that with the press of a button, this "cage" would free-fall from a height of 30,000 feet.
Chu Hang thought the design was pretty stupid; against someone like Loki, physical fall wouldn't make much sense.
He walked alone to the control panel in the cell.
Inside the glass cell, Loki had removed his gag and was sitting leisurely on a bench, as if this were not a prison but his palace.
“You’ve come.” Loki saw him and gave him an elegant smile. “I really can’t understand how you saw through my illusions, mortal.”
"Let me confirm if you're really that stupid as to willingly let yourself be captured." Chu Hang's voice was calm, revealing no emotion.
"Arrested?" Loki chuckled, standing up. "No, I just got a better audience seat. What could be more dramatic than watching a bunch of self-important heroes fall apart because of suspicion and arrogance?"
He slowly walked to the glass wall, and looked into Chu Hang's eyes through the transparent barrier.
“You are different from them.” Loki’s voice was low and had a seductive magic, like a snake whispering in your ear. “You have the aura of a seeker of knowledge. You crave truth and the essence of the world.”
He reached out his hand, his pale palm gently touching the glass.
"Join me. I can teach you true Asgardian magic and show you sights that mortals can never reach. What do you want? Power? Immortality? Or the mysteries of the universe? I can give you anything."
Chu Hang watched him quietly, as if watching a clown putting on a great show.
With his talent as the "Number One Sorcerer of the Nine Realms," Loki's little trick of mental manipulation was utterly laughable in his eyes. He could clearly see Loki mobilizing a faint spiritual energy, like an invisible thread, trying to penetrate his mind and plant a seed of doubt in the deepest recesses of his consciousness.
"Your magical talent is indeed quite remarkable," Chu Hang suddenly said.
Loki's smile froze.
"Unfortunately, you used it in the wrong place." Chu Hang shook his head, a hint of regret in his voice. "You treated it as a deceptive trick, not as a key to exploring the truth."
"What did you say?"
“You should spend more time studying the internal structure of runes, instead of indulging in using illusions to scare ordinary people,” Chu Hang continued.
He raised his right hand, his five fingers slowly spreading.
A small patch of space began to twist, compress, and fold in his palm. The surrounding light was absorbed into it, and eventually, that space became a singularity smaller than a marble, emitting a ghostly blue light.
This is his most basic application of the energy of the Cosmic Cube, a manifestation of pure spatial laws.
Loki's pupils suddenly contracted to the size of pinpoints.
He could understand what it was. It was the purest and most extreme laws of space, a realm that he, Odin, and all the gods of Asgard dreamed of touching. And this mortal before him could wield it with ease.
This completely overturned his understanding.
"You..." Loki's voice carried an undisguised confusion for the first time: "Who exactly are you?"
"A collector who was passing by."
After Chu Hang finished speaking calmly, he closed his five fingers, and the blue singularity disappeared silently.
He turned and left, leaving Loki standing alone behind the glass wall, his arrogance and elegance completely gone.
Chu Hang returned to the room assigned to him, closed the door, and sat cross-legged on the floor.
He needs some time to calm down and process all the new information in his mind.
He drew a wisp of pure Cosmic Cube energy from within his body, letting it swirl at his fingertips. In the past, this energy was like a wildfire in his hands; he could only roughly throw it out, creating a crater.
Now, he could see its interior. It was an incredibly complex three-dimensional matrix composed of countless tiny blue runes. Each rune represented a facet of the laws of space.
Meanwhile, on the bridge of the space carrier.
Fury was facing Loki on the main screen, and the interrogation had reached a stalemate.
Who is behind you? What do they want?
Loki simply wore his signature smile and remained silent.
Natasha's image popped up on the side screen.
“Sir, he’s stalling for time.” Black Widow’s voice was calm and professional. “He’s observing us, analyzing each and every one of us, looking for our weaknesses.”
A cold glint flashed in Fury's single eye.
In the laboratory on the lower deck of the mothership.
Tony and Dr. Banner are tracking the gamma-ray signal from the Cosmic Cube.
“The pattern of this energy radiation is very strange.” Dr. Banner pointed to a regular pulse waveform on the screen. “It doesn’t look like natural decay, but rather like… a designed signal.”
“That’s right.” Tony’s fingers flew across the virtual keyboard, bringing up another encrypted window. “And, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been secretly downloading its data. Look at this, the folder is called ‘Phase Two’.”
He opened the folder without hesitation.
It was full of weapon blueprints. There were handheld energy guns, directional energy cannons, and even a super bomb with a Cosmic Cube at its core.
"You son of a bitch," Tony muttered under his breath.
He understood everything instantly. Fury hadn't brought them here to form any Avengers; he just wanted to use them to retrieve the Tesseract so he could continue his clandestine weapons research.
“He wants to use the Rubik’s Cube’s energy to create weapons of mass destruction,” Tony said, turning to Banner with a sarcastic tone.
Just then, the lab door opened and Steve walked in.
"Making weapons?" Steve's face instantly darkened. "Stark, what are you talking about?"
Tony didn't bother to explain and simply turned the home screen towards him.
“Look for yourself, Captain.” Tony pointed to the grotesque weapon designs on the screen. “This is what Fury did behind our backs. He wants to rekindle Hydra’s old dream, only this time under a different name.”
Steve's gaze fell on the screen. Those familiar blue energy weapon blueprints instantly transported him back to the battlefield seventy years ago.
He thought of Red Skull, and of his comrades who had been turned to ashes by energy weapons.
His eyes turned cold.

In Chu Hang's room, the energy runes floating in the air suddenly became disordered.
