"I figured it out myself." Kanzaki Eri's tone was so calm that it was almost emotionless.
Saito Haruka took a deep breath and sent a message in the brass band group: "Yes, I'm staying at Kitahara-sensei's house with Tsukiyo and Eri today!"

Every time she thought of Yuka, the soft, barbless fence imprisoned her consciousness within it.
Ignoring the vague feeling of suffocation, Saito Haruka lay down directly under the covers, her hair becoming a mess as soon as she turned over.
"Get some rest. We need to get up early tomorrow to go to the music university together. That will put Kitahara-sensei at ease."
Without any discussion, she immediately decided that the three of them should go together.
Nagase Tsukiyo also lay down inside, her arms resting on the bedding. The ceiling light wasn't too bright thanks to the lampshade.
There is a very obvious gap on the right, which is the space that Saito Harukori deliberately left between the two.
Suddenly, the lights in the room went out.
Darkness devoured the space at a visible speed. Nagase Tsukiyo's eyes struggled to adjust to the darkness, and gradually...
The surrounding outlines slowly emerged in the darkness.
Outside the window, it was pitch black; not a single star could be seen.
She turned her head and saw that Saito Harutori was still holding her phone, but she had adjusted the screen brightness to be very low.
The cold fluorescent light illuminated her face, the light standing out starkly in the dark room.
Just as Nagase Tsukiyo was about to look away, she noticed that Kanzaki Eri was lying on her side on the bed, her small face cold and aloof, staring at them with her eyes open.
"Ugh—" Her pupils suddenly contracted, clearly startled.
Suddenly, the cold fluorescent light disappeared. Saito Haruka held her phone to her chest through the blankets and murmured to herself:
"Will you feel uneasy?"
Silence filled the small room. Seeing that no one responded, Saito Haruka stopped talking and her breathing became steady and gentle.
"A university interview?" Chang Shuyueye asked.
"Are you mocking me for not answering for so long?" Saito Harutori opened her eyes again, her gaze wandering over the ceiling, but she could only see a thick darkness.
A gentle smile appeared on Nagase Tsukiyo's lips:
"Because there are many things that cause anxiety, I don't know which one the 'Sunny Bird' is referring to specifically."
"All of them."
Saito Haruka's center-parted bangs were slightly disheveled, falling loosely between her eyebrows.
"National Conference, Graduation Season, University Interviews, and the Future"
Hearing her words, Nagase Tsukiyo clenched her wrist.
I've never thought about these things before, but now it's graduation season for high school seniors, and the thought of facing something that will affect my whole life suddenly makes me feel scared.
Nagase Tsukiyo unconsciously turned her body towards Saito Harutori, pulling her legs up like a baby as she spoke. (1@Zero?pointD×±Read±Book!? ÷Free??Reading°)
"Me too, I feel uneasy."
Saito Harutori did not lie on his side, but turned his head to look at her. Both of them could feel each other's faint warmth, which came with the rise and fall of their breaths.
"But my unease is definitely different from yours, Moonlit Night."
"Different?" The side-lying position allowed Nagase Tsukiyo's breath to get even closer.
"You feel uneasy because you're trying to adapt to a new environment, but I don't feel that way. My unease is the end of everything."
Saito Harutori blinked, her eyes seemingly filled with all the darkness in the world.
"After getting into university, I was afraid of losing contact with everyone. I was afraid that I would end up with Mr. Kitahara like this."
Hmm:
"
Hearing about Kitahara-sensei from Saito Haruka again made Nagase Tsukiyo's tongue swirl in her mouth, but she couldn't say anything.
"I'm probably the member of the wind band who least wants the national tournament to come."
A self-deprecating smile played on Saito Haruka's lips as she raised her hand to brush her bangs aside on either side of her forehead.
"Why didn't we experience this feeling properly before?"
"This feeling"
Her words were cryptic, but they made Nagase Tsukiyo's eyes gleam. Her lips kept opening and closing, and all that could be heard was the sound of the saliva in her mouth constantly mixing and stretching.
“Me too,” Kanzaki Eri whispered from her bed. “I didn’t want to come to the national tournament either.”
Saito Haruka felt her hands were very hot. To dispel the heat, she moved her hands to another spot, where the surface of the bedding was surprisingly cool.
"Eri likes Kitahara-sensei, doesn't she?" she said.
"like."
Faced with Saito Haruka's question, the girl on the bed did not hesitate for a moment.
Perhaps for her, saying this to two former close friends was actually quite necessary.
"Me too."
Saito Haruki's words were like rising white smoke, silently dissipating into the air, leaving only a faint, pungent odor.

Kanzaki Eri stared intently at Saito Harutori's face without blinking as she spoke:
"Teacher Kitahara doesn't like you, he likes me."
Nagase Tsukiyo had never seen Eri so straightforward before. Even though she was the one who said those words, for some reason her face suddenly turned red.
For some reason, I felt really shy.
And why did those two suddenly start saying these things?
Is it because everything is almost over?
Saito Harutori did not deny Kanzaki Eri's words, and said:
“I admit that Kitahara-sensei cares more about you, Eri, but he could never like you.”
"You will like me."
Kanzaki Eri suddenly sat up, and said in a slightly resentful tone,
"Don't talk nonsense. Mr. Kitahara and I will be together for the rest of our lives."
"A lifetime?" Before she could react, Nagase Tsukiyo blurted out, "How could we possibly be together for a lifetime?"
Eri Kanzaki's brow furrowed slightly; although she was angry, her voice remained soft.
"I'm different from you, Moonlit Night. Precisely because I know how fragile things are, I cherish every hard-won relationship."
Teacher Kitahara once told me that he would stay with me for life.
Saito Harukori, however, said directly:
“If I were to lie, Mr. Kitahara wouldn’t be able to keep doing it for the rest of my life.”
Kanzaki Eri, seemingly tired from supporting herself with her arms, simply lay back down and said:
"That's what makes me different from you guys,"
"Saito Haruka gently bit her lower lip and said, 'Kitahara-sensei is my guarantor.'"
"guarantor?"
Nagase Tsukiyo heard a particularly familiar word and anxiously asked for confirmation.
"Was your rented apartment outside guaranteed by Mr. Kitahara?"
Saito Harutori looked directly into her eyes, and seeing her somewhat anxious expression, he felt a strange sense of pride.
"Yes, and we made a promise that he would take care of my life from now on, and I would repay him."
Nagase Tsukiyo's heart sank suddenly.
She instantly realized that, unlike her two friends, there was absolutely no connection between her and Kitahara-sensei.
This this
A wave of indescribable disappointment washed over her, to the point that she almost forgot that there should never have been any ambiguous entanglement between her and Kitahara-sensei.
Eri Kanzaki sat up abruptly, her gaze slightly lowered, carrying a faint sense of detachment.
The girl's voice was clear and cold, carrying a hint of oppression, like snowflakes falling from a great height, their warmth penetrating to the bone when they landed on the skin.
"Haru-tori, stop bothering Kitahara-sensei."
Saito Haruka raised an eyebrow, propped herself up with one hand, and let her slightly curly long hair slip down her shoulder:
"what?"
Eri Kanzaki, her back slightly hunched and shoulders drooping, said:
"The brass band is still an important paradise for Kitahara-sensei. You will only cause him trouble. He will be happier as long as you are not by his side."
“Do you mean ‘only I can bring him happiness’?” Saito Harutori said.
"Correct."
Eri Kanzaki clasped her hands in front of her chest, a faint smile on her face, and said...
"Only I know what he's thinking. He accepted everything I gave him, and he was very happy."
Just then, a girl's scream suddenly came from next door.
"ah--!!!!!"
It's Ai Kitahara's voice.
Upon hearing the sound, Saito Haruka was the first to get out of bed, barefoot, and ran to the door after turning on the light.
Nagase Tsukiyo also got up, put on her slippers, and caught up with him.
Upon entering the corridor, they found Kitahara Hakuba standing solemnly at the door of Kitahara Ai's room, his hair somewhat disheveled.
