Chapter 257 End of Sixth Grade
The Great Hall of Hogwarts was exceptionally lively tonight as the final dinner before the holidays began.
The long table was laden with all sorts of delicious food: fragrant roasted meat sizzled with oil, exquisite desserts exuded an enticing sweet aroma, and colorful fruits shimmered under the candlelight.
As always, the dome of the auditorium realistically reflected the night sky outside, with twinkling stars that complemented the dazzling chandeliers inside the hall.
The students were filled with laughter and chatter.
Because of the Triwizard Tournament held this semester, both Harry's Gryffindor and my Slytherin house have bonus points.
Because I missed several classes recently and wasn't as proactive as Hermione, Gryffindor won the sorting funnel this semester, and the entire Great Hall and Great Hall are adorned with Gryffindor's flag.
The Gryffindor students sat together, enthusiastically discussing the Triwizard Tournament and gesturing at the exciting moments of the events.
The Ravenclaw students whispered among themselves about the imaginative ideas from the books, their eyes sparkling with intelligence.
The Hufflepuff friends share the fun experiments and heartwarming daily moments of the semester.
The Slytherin students savored their food with elegance, occasionally letting out a mysterious smile.
My friends and I sat around a table in the corner, enjoying the delicious food.
Hermione, while stuffing a piece of strawberry cake into her mouth, recounted with great enthusiasm the ancient magical stories she had discovered in the library.
Ron was munching on a chicken leg, mumbling incoherently, which made everyone burst into laughter.
Harry stood by smiling, occasionally handing everyone juice.
At this moment, Headmaster Dumbledore stood up, holding a wine glass in his hand, and cleared his throat.
The entire room fell silent, and all eyes were on him.
“Dear students,” the principal’s voice was gentle yet firm.
"This semester, everyone has studied hard and explored bravely at Hogwarts, experienced many challenges, and gained growth."
Today, we gather here to celebrate the successful conclusion of this semester.
"I hope everyone can have a good rest and enrich themselves during the holiday." After saying this, he raised his glass and gestured to all the teachers and students.
Everyone stood up, raised their glasses in response, and then there was a cheerful toast.
The banquet continued, and the atmosphere grew increasingly lively.
Fred and George brought out their newly developed magic fireworks and lit them in the center of the hall.
The colorful fireworks burst forth in an instant, transforming into various wondrous shapes—a phoenix soaring with outstretched wings, a mischievous elf, and the iconic Hogwarts architecture.
The light from the fireworks shone on the students' faces, and everyone beamed with happiness.
As time went by, the dinner party drew to a close.
The students gradually dispersed and returned to their dormitories to pack their luggage.
My friends and I strolled down the familiar corridor, the moonlight streaming through the windows onto us.
Tomorrow, everyone will leave Hogwarts and return to their own homes.
Although we are a little reluctant to part ways, we all know that this wonderful time will remain in our hearts forever and become the most precious memory on our path of growth.
Back in my dorm room, I gazed at the night sky outside the window, my heart filled with emotion.
Hogwarts, this castle full of magic and dreams, has witnessed our laughter and tears, our efforts and growth.
I look forward to the holiday and to returning here for the new semester to start a new adventure.
Today, one by one, the young wizards boarded the Hogwarts Express train's return carriage with their packed suitcases.
I sat by the window in the carriage, with Fred and George sitting right next to me.
Cedric simply smiled and sat down opposite me. The carriage door was gently pushed open, and Harry, Hermione, and Ron walked in.
Hermione wore her usual gentle smile, while Ron plopped down with a carefree swagger. Harry's eyes lit up with surprise when he saw us.
"Looks like we've arrived just in time," Harry greeted with a smile.
"Please have a seat. Do you have anything to eat?" George greeted them warmly.
I smiled and took out some small pastries from my portable backpack, and then prepared drinks for everyone.
Fred blinked and said mysteriously, "We've been quite busy this semester, coming up with a lot of new pranks." As he spoke, he pulled a small box from his pocket, which contained some strange little objects.
"What is this?" Ron asked curiously as he leaned closer.
"This is our new invention. Just stick this little sticker on someone, and after a while, that person will make strange noises, like a mixture of various animal sounds," George proudly introduced.
Everyone was amused, and the carriage was filled with laughter.
I looked at Cedric, who was quietly listening to everyone's conversation with a smile. Sunlight streamed through the car window, casting a soft glow on him.
"Cedric, I probably won't see you in the new semester, and I'm already starting to miss you," I whispered with a smile to Cedric across from me.
Cedric said gently, "It's alright. You'll be graduating soon too. What are your plans after graduation?"
"I don't have any concrete plans yet." I smiled and took a sip of my coffee. I'm used to being free, and I really don't have any plans for the future.
“This year is Cedric’s graduation, and next year will be Fred, George, and Ayers’ last year at Hogwarts,” Harry said sentimentally.
“Don’t be like that, Harry. We’ll still meet, won’t we?” Cedric replied with a smile.
“We still have a year left, Harry. You’re making it sound like we’re graduating together this year,” Fred said jokingly.
“Yeah, we can play for another year,” George said with a laugh.
With Fred and George, these two little clowns, the carriage became cheerful again, and the train slowly moved on in a pleasant atmosphere.
I couldn't help but think that time at Hogwarts was always so wonderful. We came from different houses, with different personalities and experiences, but here, because of magic, because of friendship, and also because of love, we came together.
Every adventure and every chat has become one of the most precious memories of our youth.
The scenery outside the window flashed by, but the sun was still shining brightly.
Perhaps many unknown challenges and difficulties await us ahead, but at this moment, in this small carriage, we have endless joy and warmth, which is the most precious treasure that Hogwarts has given us.
As the train continues its journey, our story will continue to unfold, carrying with us anticipation for the future and our affection for each other, as we embark on the next wondrous journey.
