Chapter 88 Spreading Rumors, Harry Slaps Him in Anger
Ron and Hermione were both startled when they heard the name Tom Riddle.
Is it really a mysterious person?!
Upon hearing this, Harry's face darkened further, and his hand unconsciously moved towards his waist, reaching for the hilt of the knife.
He grabbed at nothing, only to realize that the monk's knife was under his bed in the dormitory.
Seeing the change in their expressions, Draco asked suspiciously, "What? You've heard about it?"
Hermione, being the quick-witted person she was, noticed his suspicion and quickly said, "I saw them in the Hall of Fame. There are so many of Tom's trophies there, I almost threw up from rubbing them all."
Draco nodded, then said proudly, "Ah, that's right, Senior Tom is indeed very outstanding. My family has some connections with him, and he specifically gave me his notes so I could study them carefully..."
Hermione's eyes lit up upon hearing this.
Notes? So that dark magic item was a book?
She wanted to inquire further, but Draco seemed a bit tired and waved his hand, saying, "Alright, Crabbe, Goyle, you two can go out now."
"Pansy stays."
Hermione and Ron turned to leave, but after hearing what was said, they were both stunned.
"Um... Draco," Ron hesitated, "Isn't it inappropriate to leave a girl in the boys' dorm?"
"What's wrong with that?" Draco asked suspiciously. "Why didn't you say so before?"
Ron and Hermione exchanged bewildered glances. Was this not the first time?
Frustrated, the two had no choice but to leave. They gripped their wands tightly inside their robes and strained to listen.
After seeing the two off, Draco locked the door and turned to Harry, saying, "So, neither of them wants to?"
"Let me hear what they have to say."
These words came out of nowhere, completely illogical and irrelevant.
Harry was filled with doubt, wondering: Who are those two people? Could they be Crabbe and Goyle? Why would they need Pansy to deliver the message?
He pondered for a long time, then refined his words, and said in modern language, "They want you to talk to them in person."
Draco paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright, I'll say it myself."
Upon hearing the approaching footsteps, Ron and Hermione hurriedly turned and ran more than ten meters away. They then slowed down and pretended to be laughing and joking.
As soon as the dormitory door opened, Draco called out, "Hey! You two, come with me!"
The two jogged over, and Hermione asked curiously, "Where are we going?"
"You wanted to hear me say it myself, right? Of course, it's the common room."
"Oh, that's right..."
Hermione agreed verbally, but secretly exchanged glances with Harry and Ron, and gave a sly smile.
As Harry approached the lounge, he noticed Draco's hurried steps, one arm swinging wildly while the other remained close to his waist, hidden deep within his robe sleeve, as if he were holding his wand, ready to pounce.
Harry was shocked, thinking to himself: Oh no! This guy must have seen through us! But where did he slip up?
Just then, Draco saw the group of Slytherin students in the lounge and suddenly roared, "Gran—"
Before he could finish speaking, Harry jumped forward and kicked him to the ground.
Draco cried out "Ouch!" Harry took the opportunity to take off his robe, crumple it into a ball, and stuff it into Draco's mouth, then spread his fingers and began to pound Draco's face with both hands.
Hearing the commotion, all the students in the lounge turned to look. They were all shocked to see Pansy slapping Draco.
"Didn't he and Pansy have a good relationship?"
"That's right, I've seen them together quite often these days."
"Please—which girl wouldn't want to be best friends with Mr. Backyard Flower?"
"Ha ha ha ha……"
The lounge housed over a hundred students from seven grades, some worried, some watching the drama unfold, and some stirring up trouble.
Seeing that things were getting heated, Harry tried to slip away in the chaos. But as soon as he stood up, he saw the Slytherin prefects and prefects approaching, wands in hand.
"Stop arguing!"
Are you the only one resting in this lounge?
Seeing that the two prefects had calmed down, Harry kicked Draco hard in the stomach again, cursing:
"You scum! How dare you spread those vile rumors about me!"
These words caused an uproar in the room. Upon hearing of such sordid dealings, the two prefects' faces immediately turned contemptuous, and they put away their wands, pretending not to see anything.
If it's spreading rumors, then they certainly deserve to be beaten.
The female prefect looked at Pansy and saw that her pretty face was full of murderous intent, and felt sorry for her.
Seeing that Pansy had acted ruthlessly, the male prefect whispered to the female prefect, "Shouldn't we confirm this? What if that girl is lying?"
"Please, no girl would joke about her innocence."
Draco wanted to call for help, but his mouth was gagged and he couldn't utter a single word. After being punched and kicked by Harry, he felt his insides churning, exhaling more than he inhaled, just like Ron's miserable state on the ring that day.
Have you not heard that those who commit many unrighteous acts will surely perish?
Harry bound his hands and feet tightly and whispered to Ron and Hermione, "Get out of here!"
Ron nodded in agreement, but then suddenly lunged back in front of Draco, delivering a powerful punch to his stomach and a flying kick to his buttocks.
Why did you throw that punch? It's to avenge the underhanded tactics used during that duel.
Why did he kick me? It turns out it was because he hated the dragon blood muscle-building potion for defiling his naturally muscular physique.
After the three of them slipped out of the lounge in the chaos, Hermione exclaimed excitedly, "That dark magic item is a notebook!"
"It's very likely the mysterious person's notes, diary, or homework from their student days!"
Harry waved his wand and chanted, "Patriot."
Immediately afterward, a large, white-browed tiger with piercing eyes shot out from the tip of the cane and headed straight for the principal's office.
By this time, the effects of the Polyjuice Potion had worn off, and Harry and the others returned to their original forms.
Harry said, "I've already summoned Professor Dumbledore. Today, we're determined to execute that scoundrel Malfoy on the spot!"
The three disappeared without a trace, and in the Slytherin common room, Draco lay sprawled on the floor, ignored by all. This was because all the students knew of his despicable deeds and scoffed at him.
The male sergeant watched coldly for a moment, and seeing him struggling and turning red in the face, he stepped forward to untie him.
Before he could even utter a word after pulling the robe out of his mouth, Draco immediately yelled, "That's not Pansy! That's a Gryffindor student in disguise!"
"You've all been fooled!"
The prefect was startled and looked down at the robe in his hand. The green stripes on the collar, which should have been those of the Slytherin school, had turned into the crimson stripes of the Gryphon school!
He was filled with shock and rage, and raised his wand to cast a megaphone spell: "Level One Alert! Gryffindor idiots have infiltrated!"
These words immediately caused an uproar in the common room, with everyone grabbing their wands and preparing for battle. Some even went so far as to take the robe to Gryffindor to demand the release of the person.
Just as the commotion was starting, a few soft "poof" sounds came from the lounge, and four or five house-elves suddenly appeared.
The wall door suddenly opened, revealing a figure.
"Why is it so noisy here?"
Everyone looked up and saw that the newcomer was none other than Dumbledore.
