Chapter 101 Execution without Complaint: Principal's Special Permission
Picking up where we left off, Harry was secretly shocked by Percy's words. He never imagined that the petrified woman was actually his confidante.
Before he could offer any words of comfort, Percy said bitterly, "That guy who inherited the secret chamber had better hide forever and never let me find out who he is!"
Harry thought to himself: The four houses in this castle are clearly divided into factions, and those prefects who control discipline are secretly colluding. I just need a middleman to go through the motions and find out what's going on in the other houses.
Having made up his mind, he laughed and said to the crowd, "You all can leave now. I'll come and have some conversation with my brother."
Upon hearing this, everyone rose to take their leave. Ron and Hermione, however, stayed behind, while Fred and George remained motionless.
Ginny was about to get up, but seeing that none of them were moving, she quickly sat back down and stared intently at Harry.
Ron knew Harry must have something important to say, so he advised, "Ginny, children shouldn't listen to what adults are saying."
"Come on, Ron, you're only a year older than me. You're a kid yourself."
"What?! How can we be compared?" Ron roared, "Look at yourself first, then look at mine!"
"I won't look! Wizards rely on their wands!"
Seeing the two arguing, Harry interrupted, "Sister, stop making a scene. Calm down and go get the Chocolate Frog from under my bed in my bedroom."
Seeing that Harry also disagreed, Ginny could only pout and say, "Fine, I'll do as you say."
He immediately got up and headed towards the boys' dormitory, looking rather dejected.
"Did you see that?" Ron exclaimed incredulously. "I'm her own brother!"
"My words carry less weight than Harry's!"
"That's normal. Harry has given Ginny at least several dozen Galleons of pocket money." George said earnestly, "Last summer, Ginny asked you to help her catch goblins, and not only did you ignore it, you also took the opportunity to steal her pie."
"Ahem! Let's talk about these things later."
Hermione cleared her throat and looked at Harry. "Harry, you asked everyone who wasn't important to leave. Is there something important you need to say?"
Fred clenched his fist against his chest. "The loyal Wadele family will never betray His Majesty the Lion King."
Harry thought to himself: These are all men I trust. Even if I wanted to get involved, it wouldn't hurt.
He laughed and said, "Since you all have such courage, I'll ask you this clearly: are you all willing to help me catch that troublemaker at the school?"
Percy immediately shouted, "I'll do anything to catch the bastard who attacked Penelope!"
"Wait, Harry, are there only six of us?" Hermione pointed to the heads, looking suspicious. "How can just a few of us keep an eye on the whole school?"
After hearing her words, Percy and the others also realized what was going on.
"Yeah, there are only a few of us, how could we possibly have enough time?"
Fred and George, unfazed, shouted in unison, "We can skip class!"
Harry took the phoenix badge and laughed, "Don't worry, everyone, just look at this."
Everyone craned their necks to look, and saw several beams of magical light burst forth from the phoenix's body, instantly striking their skulls. A sudden "buzz" resounded in their heads, as if a great bell were exploding in their ears:
Seeing this badge is like seeing the headmaster of Hogwarts.
As the incantation faded, Fred shuddered. "Was that Professor Dumbledore's voice?!"
"Not only that," Percy said in horror, "there's also an immense amount of magic within this badge."
Harry gripped the scabbard tightly, slammed it to the ground three times, and roared, "Where are the house-elves? Show yourselves now!"
But then a "bang" was heard, and a puff of white smoke rose from the surroundings, revealing a house-elf.
The elf keeper bowed respectfully. "Mr. Harry Potter, what brings you here?"
"Bring me a bottle of whiskey."
"Oh, sir, underage wizards cannot drink alcohol..."
Harry held up the badge. "You don't recognize me, and you don't recognize this badge either!"
"Yes, sir!"
After the house-elves left, Harry said, "Today I will assign each of you five house-elves to command. Do not make this public. Secretly investigate the movements inside and outside the castle, and report back immediately if there is any disturbance."
Percy and the others nodded in agreement after hearing this.
Having given the order, the house-elf also brought the wine.
Harry taught it to recognize the five corporals, and then found a quiet place to have drinks with Hermione and Ron and discuss Lockhart's matter.
Upon hearing of this deceitful and fraudulent act, the two were secretly astonished, repeatedly praising the Forgetfulness Curse as truly terrifying.
"But now that we have fulfilled Salazar's request, it is time for him to answer our questions."
Ron rubbed his hands together, eager to get started. "So, how about asking about the Basilisk and Draco?"
"Your IQ is about the same as Godric's, you little redhead," Salazar, nestled in Harry's arms, suddenly spoke. "Who do you think would discuss secrets in the common room?"
"Oh, there really are, the three of you are."
Ron protested, "You were the one who released that basilisk, weren't you?"
"I put an egg in it back then."
Upon hearing this, Harry said in a low voice, "I'll remember this debt for now and we'll settle it another day."
"Of course, Harry, it's your prerogative."
Enough of the rambling, let's begin with the story of how, from that time on, Percy and his five companions led a group of house-elves to search inside and outside the castle every day, but unfortunately, they found nothing.
After searching for several days without finding any flaws and with no more students falling victim, everyone gradually relaxed and let go of their grip. Only Harry remained extremely vigilant.
Have you not heard that before a storm comes, the first thing to smell is fish?
He spent his days exploring the surroundings and his nights practicing Legilimency with Snape. More than a month passed in this way, without any major incidents.
Just as the trees wished for stillness but the wind would not cease, at the dead of night, a house-elf popped out of Harry's bedside with a "bang."
"Sir! Another student has been murdered!"
Harry's tiger eyes snapped open, and he sprang to his feet with lightning speed, grabbing a robe from the headboard and putting it on.
Ron, still groggy, struggled to his feet and asked, "Where...where? Who was killed?"
"He's a Slytherin student!"
Upon hearing this, Ron felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over his head. He instantly lost all sleepiness and hurriedly rolled out of bed to tidy up.
Before Neville and Seamus could ask, the two who had run away had vanished without a trace.
Rushing to the lounge, they bumped into Percy and the others who had also arrived.
"Harry!"
"Have you also received a reminder from the house-elves?"
"How could she be a victim of Slytherin?"
Harry said in a deep voice, "We'll find out soon enough."
These students followed Harry down the street. When they arrived at the Slytherin common room, they heard a chorus of roosters crowing all around, and a dozen or so Slytherin students were gathered outside, peering out.
Upon seeing Harry and his group, the students raised their staffs in alarm.
"Potter! What are you doing here? This is Slytherin territory!"
"You guys opened the door to the lounge, I've come here specifically to search it."
"Are you ordering us around? Have you got a slug in your head?!"
Before he could finish speaking, Harry had already raised the phoenix badge.
When the students saw the glowing badge, they were momentarily stunned, then cried out in surprise.
"Where did you get this?!"
"Even if you are Dumbledore, you have no right to make demands of us!"
Harry gripped the hilt of his knife tightly and snapped, "Can't any of you read?"
"What the principal can't handle, I'll handle!"
"If the principal can manage it, I'll definitely manage it even more!"
"This is a unilateral decision, authorized by the principal. Do you have any objections?"
