Chapter 155 A Terrifying Crisis in the Shadows
The chaos began in the casino.
"Open it for me! Open it up, big, big!!"
"Small, tiny, tiny! It must be small!"
"Takes it all."
A cold, hoarse voice rang out, and as the dice cup was lifted, all three dice showed a six.
The entire gambling table fell silent for a moment, then erupted into a huge uproar and curses.
The dealer's face turned pale, and cold sweat poured down his forehead as he stared at the short figure opposite him, whose face was covered by a mask—Feitan.
The chips piled up in front of him were like a small mountain, and since he entered the room, the dealer had changed several times, losing thirty-seven hands in a row, but he didn't even lift his eyelids.
"Cheating! He must have cheated!"
"Grab him!"
The casino's thugs finally couldn't hold back any longer and surrounded them, grabbing sticks and swords.
Feitan didn't even stand up.
He merely raised his eyelids slightly, and a chilling, viscous, almost tangible killing intent instantly spread out. The thugs closest to him immediately went weak in the knees, collapsed to the ground, and foamed at the mouth.
The next second, everyone saw a blur before their eyes as Feitan's figure darted through the crowd like a ghost. All the thugs' weapons were broken into pieces, and thin lines of blood appeared on their arms or legs. They then screamed and fell to the ground, unable to move.
Feitan sat back down, tapped the table with his fingers, and uttered two words to the stunned dealer: "Pay up."
The atmosphere at the card table next door was equally "lively".
"Hahaha! A flush! I won again! Pay up!"
Finks laughed wildly, slamming his hand, adorned with a large gold ring studded with enormous gems, onto the table with a deafening crash. The gamblers opposite him turned ashen-faced; their chips were already empty, and two of them had even bet their coats and valuable accessories.
"No—impossible! How could you possibly get the winning hand seven times in a row?!"
A pirate captain, enraged by his loss, suddenly overturned the table and drew his flintlock pistol.
Phinks' smile instantly turned ferocious. He didn't even bother with the preliminary "arm rotation" movement. With a sway of his body, everyone felt a gust of wind pass by, and the pirate captain, along with his gun, was slammed into the wall by a tremendous force, embedded in a starfish shape, and couldn't be pried off.
"If you can't handle it, don't play." Finks curled his lip and began slowly clearing away all the chips and collateral on the table, humming a tuneless little tune, "Next, next!"
The chaos at the casino spread like sparks thrown into a frying pan, quickly engulfing the entire neighborhood.
In the darker and bloodier "human auction house," another kind of chaos is unfolding.
The auction was in full swing. On the stage, a Celestial Dragon wearing a glass hood and with snot running down his nose was arrogantly holding up a paddle, ready to buy a fish-man girl who was bound in chains and had empty eyes.
Below the stage, numerous pirates, wealthy merchants, and nobles watched with either numbness or excitement.
"Bang-!!!"
The heavy doors of the auction house, along with their frames, were blasted away from the outside by an extremely brute force. Amidst the splintered wood and dust, two figures walked in through the ruins.
On the left was a man as strong as an iron tower. Uvogin grinned, revealing his gleaming white teeth, and cracked his neck.
On the right, Nobunaga, holding a long sword, swept his eyes like unsheathed blades over the astonished crowd.
"It's so noisy, this disgusting business." Uvogin picked at his ear, looking disgusted.
"Tsk, it's just the aura of some weaklings." Nobunaga curled his lip, seemingly disappointed that he couldn't sense the aura of a powerful figure.
"Who goes there?! How dare you disturb Saint Charles's enjoyment!"
The auction house guards and Celestial Dragons' black-clad bodyguards immediately surrounded them, drawing their swords and spears.
"Refined taste?" Uvogin laughed wildly. "I'll give you your fill of 'refined taste'!"
He completely ignored the gun barrels aimed at him, bent his knees slightly, and then suddenly pushed off the ground!
"Boom!"
The ground of the entire auction hall seemed to tremble as Uvogin charged into the guards like a human cannonball.
He didn't use any fancy techniques, just the simplest and most violent straight punches, hooks, and elbows!
Each strike was accompanied by the terrifying sound of bones shattering and the guards coughing up blood as they flew backward.
The bullet struck his bronze skin with a clanging, metallic sound, leaving a white mark before bouncing away.
Nobunaga moved like lightning, his sword flashing and disappearing in an instant.
No one saw how he drew and sheathed his sword. They only saw the black-clad bodyguards who had rushed forward frozen in place. A moment later, their weapons were neatly broken in two, and their black clothes were torn open, revealing the skin underneath.
Charlos, the Celestial Dragon on the platform, was so terrified that he fell to the ground with a thud, his snot bubble bursting: "Help—help! Kill them! Kill these lowly people!"
However, Uvogin and Nobunaga didn't even bother to look at him.
Uvogin smashed the auction stage and the chains binding the slaves with a few punches, while Nobunaga used the tip of his sword to break the mechanisms of several key slave collars.
"Get out of here now," Nobunaga said to the terrified slaves.
Uvogin took a deep breath, facing the auction house ceiling, and then let out a deafening roar: "Roar—!!!!!"
The sound waves transformed into a tangible impact, instantly shattering all the glass and lights in the arena, causing everyone's eardrums to ache and their heads to spin.
The entire auction hall was in a mess, filled with cries, curses, and the sound of alarms.
Uvogin and Nobunaga exchanged a glance, deciding it was about time. They turned and swaggered away from the chaotic place, leaving behind the paralyzed Celestial Dragons and a group of panicked guests and guards.
The massive unrest in the lawless zone could not possibly escape the notice of all parties on the island.
The atmosphere was heavy and unyielding inside the highest command post of the naval base in areas 60-69 of the Sabaody Archipelago.
Sakazuki, dressed in the white coat of justice of a naval admiral and with a face as hard as a rock, was listening to his subordinates' report.
He had a cigar in his mouth, and red lava patterns were faintly visible on his arm, radiating terrifying heat.
"Admiral!" A CPO agent wearing a white mask and a white suit appeared like a ghost. "Confirmed. The four men who caused chaos in the lawless zone have features that closely match those of the Phantom Pirates members Uvogin, Nobunaga, Phinks, and Feitan."
They split up and are currently operating near the casino and the crippled human auction house, Hall One.
Akainu exhaled two plumes of smoke from his nostrils, his eyes sharp as knives: "Only four? Where is their leader, that Chrollo Lucilfer?"
"No trace has been found yet; they may be hiding in the shadows or operating in other areas," the CPO agent replied.
"Hmph, the rat has finally shown its tail." Akainu's voice was deep and oppressive. "Notify Sentomaru that the Pacifista forces are on high alert and block all exits to Sabaody Archipelago, including the seabed and the surface."
五名中将,各自带领部队,控制1—29、30—39、50—59、60—69、70—79号区域的主要节点。
But—don't alert them yet.
He walked up to the huge nautical chart and pointed heavily at the center of the Sabaody Archipelago.
"Wait. Wait until they think they've succeeded, wait until they lower their guard, wait until they—all of them—are gathered together."
Akainu's eyes gleamed with absolute coldness and unwavering determination. "I will wipe them, along with their possible hideouts, completely from this world!"
"Yes, sir!" The messenger and the CPO agent answered simultaneously.
