Chapter 622: What The Hell Is God Gym
Chapter 622: What The Hell Is God Gym
The news spread faster than Alira expected.
At first, it was only the people inside the arena.
Then it became the whole tournament site.
Then it became the entire Astral Cosmic Terminal One.
And not long after that, it spread across nearby terminals, faction networks, merchant channels, and private intelligence groups.
God Gym.
A mysterious force that had raised the champion of the Newbie Tournament.
A force that trained a lower-world human with a dragon bloodline into a Disaster Dragon capable of defeating Kaelvar Ignis from the Ignis Family.
A force that openly declared it would train anyone.
For a price.
Naturally, every faction had the same reaction.
What the hell was God Gym?
Inside the manager’s office of Astral Cosmic Terminal One, Paren sat behind his desk with both hands clasped in front of him.
The glowing communication crystals in front of him were ringing nonstop.
The first call came from a merchant alliance. "Manager Paren, we heard God Gym is registered under your terminal. May we ask what kind of faction this is?"
Paren smiled politely. "God Gym is a private training organization currently operating under the jurisdiction of Astral Cosmic Terminal One."
"Training organization? What kind of training?"
Paren’s smile did not change. "Specialized physical, combat, and potential-development training."
"Who is backing them?"
Paren paused for only half a second.
Then he replied calmly, "Their internal background is private."
The merchant representative on the other side became quiet.
Private.
That word alone made their thoughts run wild.
Not long after the call ended, another communication crystal lit up.
This time, it was from a mid-sized dragon faction. "Manager Paren, explain God Gym. Is this faction related to any dragon clan?"
Paren’s eyes moved slightly. "It is not officially registered as a dragon clan branch."
"Then how did they raise Dahlia Draconia?"
Paren smiled faintly. "That is naturally part of God Gym’s private methods."
"Private methods?"
"Yes."
Paren’s tone remained perfectly calm. "Every powerful organization has its own inheritance. It would be inappropriate for me to reveal another faction’s secrets."
The dragon faction representative frowned through the projection, but could not say anything against that.
After all, Paren’s words made sense.
And because they made sense, they became even more suspicious.
The call ended, but then another one came.
Then another.
By the tenth call, Paren’s assistant standing nearby already looked numb.
"Manager," the assistant whispered, "this is the fourth faction asking whether God Gym has a hidden god behind it."
Paren’s smile stiffened slightly.
Then another crystal lit up.
This time, the projection belonged to a stern-looking old woman from a powerful cultivation family. "Paren. Answer honestly. Who is behind God Gym?"
Paren’s expression became serious. "Senior, God Gym is registered through standard legal channels. Their representative has passed identity verification, and their operations remain within terminal regulations."
The old woman narrowed her eyes. "That is not what I asked."
Paren nodded politely. "And that is all I am allowed to answer."
The room became quiet.
The assistant behind him almost stopped breathing, but Paren did not lower his head too much.
He had already decided that he would not explain what he knew, mostly because he actually did not know that much.
Garion had appeared out of nowhere, and the reason he built God Gym seemed to be because the name was scary enough and because it had been his previous gym’s name.
Paren did not know anything at all.
But that was exactly why he could hide behind ignorance.
The old woman stared at him for a while before finally ending the call.
The moment her projection vanished, Paren leaned back slightly and let out a slow breath.
Then another crystal lit up.
The moment he looked at it, both he and his assistant fell silent for three seconds.
Then Paren calmly adjusted his collar and accepted the call.
A middle-aged man appeared. "Manager Paren. I represent the Azure Battle Palace. We want information about God Gym."
Paren smiled. "Of course. God Gym is a private training organization under Astral Cosmic Terminal One."
The assistant’s mouth twitched.
He had already heard that sentence too many times.
The man frowned. "What kind of training?"
Paren answered smoothly. "Extreme body refinement, combat conditioning, potential awakening, and personalized growth programs."
"Do they accept outsiders?"
"That depends on God Gym’s owner."
"Who is the owner?"
"Garion."
"What is his background?"
Paren smiled politely. "Private."
The man’s eye twitched.
The call ended soon after.
Paren rubbed his forehead.
Then suddenly, the largest crystal on his desk lit up.
The assistant’s expression changed immediately. "Manager... that is from the higher-ups."
Paren’s hand paused.
Then he slowly sat straighter. "Connect it."
The crystal glowed, and a powerful projection appeared in front of him.
It was one of the higher authorities above Astral Cosmic Terminal One.
A man wearing dark official robes looked directly at Paren. "Paren."
Paren stood up immediately. "Supervisor."
The supervisor’s gaze was calm, but heavy. "God Gym."
Only two words.
But Paren already understood.
He bowed slightly. "God Gym is currently registered under my terminal as a private training organization."
The supervisor looked at him. "Do you know what kind of attention this has caused?"
Paren smiled faintly. "Yes, Supervisor."
"Faction inquiries, merchant requests, dragon clan complaints, recruitment offers, intelligence purchases, and even private messages from high-level families."
Paren nodded. "Yes."
The supervisor’s eyes narrowed slightly. "And yet, you registered them under your terminal before this happened."
Paren’s heart moved slightly.
Then he calmly replied, "I judged them to have high potential."
The supervisor stared at him.
Paren continued carefully. "The owner, Garion, showed unusual confidence, an unknown background, and a rare ability to produce results. His disciple’s performance in the tournament proved that my judgment was not wrong."
The supervisor remained silent for a moment.
Then he suddenly smiled faintly. "Good."
Paren’s eyes flickered.
The supervisor leaned back. "Whether God Gym is truly powerful or only pretending to be powerful, the attention is real. And that attention is currently flowing toward Astral Cosmic Terminal One."
Paren lowered his head slightly. "That is correct."
"Handle it well," the supervisor said. "Do not let factions pressure them too much. Do not let them act completely without rules either. Keep the balance."
Paren nodded. "Understood."
"And Paren."
"Yes, Supervisor?"
The supervisor’s smile became sharper. "If God Gym rises, your terminal rises with it."
Paren’s eyes brightened faintly.
Then the supervisor continued, "If God Gym causes disaster, your terminal will also be dragged into it."
Paren’s smile stiffened. "I understand."
The projection vanished.
The office became silent again.
For a moment, Paren did not move.
Then he slowly sat back down.
His assistant swallowed. "Manager... are we in trouble or getting promoted?"
Paren stared at the pile of still-glowing communication crystals.
Then he let out a tired laugh. "Both."
