Chapter 25 Your One-Eyed Wolf Has Two Eyes
Suddenly, dark clouds filled the sky, and arcs of purplish-blue lightning surged within them. A thick bolt of purplish-blue lightning struck down from the clouds, heading straight for Instructor Bai Yang.
Underpants!
The wooden platform was struck by a purplish-blue lightning bolt, leaving a charred hole.
Zhan Kong shouted angrily, "Jiang Han, have you gone mad? Why did you suddenly attack someone?"
"No, didn't he say I was a member of the Black Vatican? Then it shouldn't be a problem for me to kill a mage, right?" Jiang Han said calmly.
"As for why I was able to kill the Bone-Spiked Wolf, Instructor Bai Yang should have already figured it out."
Bai Yang never expected that this guy named Jiang Han would dare to attack him. Looking at the charred hole in front of him, his expression was uncertain.
"Ahem, Jiang Han, you've gone a bit too far. Bai Yang is still your instructor, how can you just lay a hand on him like that?" Zhan Kong said, feigning a reprimand.
"Instructor Bai Yang, I was wrong just now. I apologize to you. I'm sorry," Jiang Han said with a faint smile.
After recalling the unknown task the priest had given him, Bai Yang suppressed his displeasure and smiled, saying, "It's nothing."
Jiang Han glanced at Bai Yang, who was smiling, and thought to himself, "Heh, Bai Yang's patience is really strong."
"Instructor, now that Jiang Han's assessment is over, shouldn't we go check on the other trainees? That cave you sent them to, could there really be a one-eyed demon wolf there?" Xue Musheng quickly changed the subject, snapping out of his reverie.
Zhan Kong shook his head and said, "No, no, no, there is something in there, but it's not a one-eyed demon wolf."
"However, previous training exercises for students weren't this realistic. While this is a good opportunity for them to hone their skills, the presence of things in the cave might be a bit risky for them," Tang Yue said with a serious expression.
"Teacher Tang Yue, you're wrong about that. To become a magician, one must have the awareness of a magician. If one is so frightened by demons that they can't even cast spells, then they are not a qualified magician," Jiang Han said calmly.
Xue Musheng asked again, "Instructor, what exactly is left in that cave?"
"Although there are no demons inside the cave, to increase the difficulty of the trainees' training, we've arranged for Instructor Baiyang's Ghost Wolf beast to guard the cave," Luo Yunbo replied with a smile.
Tang Yue sighed. Apart from Jiang Han, the best students in the class were Mo Fan, Mu Bai, and Xu Zhaoting. She wondered if they would be able to cast the magic when they encountered the Ghost Wolf Beast.
"Since the teachers are so worried about the students' safety, then come with me to take a look. Jiang Han, you come along too," Zhan Kong said calmly, glancing at Tang Yue and Xue Musheng.

Safe zone, in the valley where the one-eyed wolf's lair is located.
The trainees walked along the mountain path toward the cave. He Yu, who was in the group, looked down at the gloomy cave and felt uneasy.
He Yu asked Zhou Min, who was in front of her, "Zhou Min, aren't you scared? What if there's something in the cave?"
"If we don't complete the bounty, we won't get high scores in our training, and without high scores, we can't get into good magic academies. Besides, our bounty mission is much simpler than Jiang Han's. What reason do so many of us have to be afraid?" Zhou Min said calmly.
Zhang Kun chuckled and said, "Haha, what's there to be afraid of? If there really is a one-eyed demon wolf, Mu Bai can freeze it with a single ice vine."
"Come on, everyone, let's go with Mu Bai."
"Yes, there's nothing to be afraid of."
While everyone else headed towards the cave, Mo Fan stopped at a spring not far from it, staring at the receding water level and falling into deep thought. He remembered a heavy rainstorm in Bocheng a few days ago; logically, the spring should have been overflowing, not receding by more than half.
"Brother Fan, what are you looking at? Looking for fish?" Zhang Xiaohou walked over and asked with a smile.
Mo Fan glanced at Zhang Xiaohou and said calmly, "Look at the water in the pool."
"There's nothing wrong with it."
"Alright, I'll just tell you directly. Based on the water level in the pool, I suspect there's something big inside, otherwise the water level wouldn't be dropping so quickly," Mo Fan said calmly.
"What? Brother Fan, don't scare me! Is there really a big guy in there?" Zhang Xiaohou's voice trembled slightly.
"Look at your pathetic self. Jiang Han has already left the safety barrier to hunt the One-Eyed Demon Wolf. Do you think we can't handle a big guy with so many of us?" Mo Fan smiled and comforted him.
"That's true, but I'll still go and give them a heads-up."
After Zhang Xiaohou finished speaking, he ran towards the students below to remind them. Mo Fan shook his head and followed him.
After Zhang Xiaohou relayed Mo Fan's assessment to the other trainees, Zhang Kunsan scoffed, "Heh, Mo Fan can determine there are demons in the cave just based on the water level? I think you're all scared out of your wits."
"Haha, a bad student is still a bad student. He can be scared by something so small."
"If you don't have the guts to go in, you'd better come up with a better excuse."
"Alright, let's hurry up and go in."
After Zhao Kunsan and the other trainees mocked Mo Fan and Zhang Xiaohou, they stepped into the gloomy cave.
Upon entering the gloomy cave, the students who had awakened light magic walked at the front, releasing radiant light to illuminate the area.
However, after entering most of the cave, strange roars echoed continuously in the dark cave. The timid students looked around but did not see any demons.
Da da da!!
A loud noise came from deep within the cave, and the light-elemental student at the front waved his hand to illuminate the deepest part of the cave.
When the giant wolf with scarlet eyes emerged, a student cried out in terror, "Ahhh, there really is a one-eyed demon wolf here!"
"Don't eat me! Please don't eat me! Help!"
"What a huge monster! I don't want to become its dinner."
"Run!"
If Jiang Han were here, he would definitely say disdainfully, "Your one-eyed demon wolf has two eyes?"
Mu Bai considered himself the most powerful student in the elite class, except for that freak Jiang Han. So while the other students were running away, Mu Bai rushed towards the Ghost Wolf Beast to show off.
When the connection reached the seventh star, the orbit collapsed, and only a wisp of cold mist drifted toward the Ghost Wolf Beast.
The Ghost Wolf Beast sized up Mu Bai with its two scarlet eyes, thinking to itself, "This is a 'welfare' from the community. This guy doesn't seem to be very bright. Will I become stupid if I eat him?"
"Awooo!!!"
The Ghost Wolf Beast growled at Mu Bai in disgust.
The stench instantly snapped Mu Bai back to reality. He immediately turned and rushed towards the distant cave entrance. He hadn't expected his release to fail, especially considering he had achieved an A-level score in the annual assessment.
Seeing the other students fleeing in panic, Zhou Min encouraged herself, "I can do it, I definitely can."
A flash of red starlight appeared on his body, and the seven stars successfully connected to form a star orbit. His right hand blazed with crimson flames, and then he waved his hand towards the distant Dark Wolf Beast.
"Sizzle, burn!"
When the flames hit the Spectral Wolf, they only burned off a layer of its fur; otherwise, nothing happened.
"What?! How could this be?" Zhou Min stared in disbelief at the unharmed Ghost Wolf Beast.
