Chapter 117: The Transformation Plan
Chapter 117: The Transformation Plan
The Heilongshan X81 spacecraft has been traveling smoothly through the dark universe for twenty days.
Inside the control room, only the low hum of the engine and the occasional flashing indicator lights could be heard. After the bloody battle within the interdimensional realm, these twenty days of peace were all the more precious.
Above the control panel, Babata's virtual projection suddenly jumped out of the data stream excitedly, waving his little arms.
"We're almost there."
"In ten minutes, we will reach the designated departure point. The coordinates ahead for leaving the dark universe are White Orchid Star."
Upon hearing Babata's voice, Hong, who was meditating cross-legged with his eyes closed, opened them. His aura had suddenly broken through to the fourth level of the Hengxing realm, and his control over his domain had become even more adept. He stood up, stretched his body, and walked to the huge virtual screen.
On the screen, the line representing the flight path is approaching a flashing dot of light.
"Brother Hong, are we almost there?"
Luo Feng and Thor appeared in the control room, their auras even more refined, indicating that they had gained much insight from their trip to the Realm Within a Realm.
Hong nodded and immediately connected with the D9-class escort spacecraft.
Ming Yu's figure appeared on the screen. He also seemed to have just finished his cultivation and was sitting on the large captain's chair on his spaceship, holding a cup of strangely fragrant drink.
"Brother Hong, what's the matter?"
Mingyu asked with a smile.
"Deacon Mingyu, thank you for escorting us all this way. We're just ahead on Bailan Star. Once we pass Bailan Star, we'll be within our own star system, so there's no need for you to make this trip."
Upon hearing this, Mingyu laughed and waved his hand dismissively.
"This is nothing, it's not a big deal."
He paused, then added.
"I dare not disregard the orders personally given by Marshal Tianchen. Escorting you to a safe area is my duty."
Hong knew the other party was sincere, so he stopped being polite.
After exchanging a few more pleasantries, the two ended the communication.
On the enormous virtual screen, the D9-class spaceship slowly adjusted its course, its hull tracing an arc as it headed towards the depths of the dark universe, eventually disappearing from the detection range.
"Prepare to exit the dark universe."
With a slight tremor in the spaceship, the view outside the window instantly changed from deep darkness to a vast, real starry sky.
A planet completely covered in white ice and snow floats silently in orbit not far away.
The spaceship slowly landed at a snow-covered airport. The crew replenished the spaceship's basic supplies there.
The spaceship ignited again, its tail thrusters spewing out eerie blue flames as it flashed through the thin atmosphere of White Star and sped toward Earth at full speed.
As the spacecraft drew closer and closer to Earth.
The tense nerves of everyone gradually relaxed.
Hong stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the simulated exterior of the spaceship. In his mind, he was rapidly simulating the situation he might face upon returning to Earth.
Based on the timeline, it's estimated that Bekal and Devon of the Noransan family won't arrive in the solar system for about two and a half years. However, Earth is now vastly different from what it used to be.
He slowly turned around.
"We're almost on Earth. Before we head back, there are some things we need to plan ahead."
Hong looked at the virtual projections of Babata and Qiu Jian.
"Babata, Qiu Jian, the two of you should work together and use what we gained in this interdimensional realm to establish a comprehensive and tight surveillance network throughout the solar system."
"no problem."
Upon hearing this, Babata immediately patted his chest.
"Leave it to me. With ample funding, everything is negotiable. I'll devise a plan right away, and the entire solar system will be under my surveillance. No spaceship entering the solar system will escape my notice."
Hong nodded in satisfaction.
Then, his gaze turned to Qiu Jian.
"Qiu Jian, and that D6-class railgun. I need you to integrate it into Earth's existing Dome of Light defense system."
A hint of seriousness flashed across Qiu Jian's cold face. He quickly brought up a 3D model of Earth, and countless data streams rushed across his virtual eyes.
A moment later, he looked up.
"Master, the energy requirements for a single firing of the D6-class railgun are too enormous, and Earth's existing energy framework cannot support them."
"I need to use the advanced energy crystals and materials you brought back to rebuild its energy supply framework."
Hong waved his hand and said decisively.
"I don't care what methods you use or how many resources you consume. I have only one requirement: you must get this railgun into combat readiness in the shortest possible time."
"As long as it is operational, no one in this remote star system can threaten Earth."
Thor, who was standing nearby, laughed and said.
"I'm starting to look forward to the scene where the powerful warriors sent by Noranshan are blown to pieces by a D6-class railgun after a long voyage."
……
Meanwhile, in another vast expanse of starry sky.
Mingyu's D9-class spaceship is on its way back.
He stood alone in the command room, looking at the unchanging starry sky outside the spaceship.
A moment later, he separated a sliver of his consciousness and entered the virtual universe network.
"Marshal, Hong and the others have been safely delivered."
Jiang Tianchen said with a smile.
"You've worked hard. Do you understand the situation now?"
"Those little guys are quite cautious; they only asked me to escort them to a nearby star system," Ming Yu said with a wry smile.
"It's alright, being cautious is good. They should have registered as lords, and the Empire's internal channels should know. These little guys are quite to my liking. I heard that Hong has already been accepted as a disciple by Lord Manluo. His future is limitless."
After saying that, he made Tianchen's virtual figure disappear.
Mingyu watched Jiang Tianchen exit the virtual universe, pondered for a moment, and then contacted the garrison commander of the Three Axes Mountain garrison that was closest to the Nuolan Mountain family territory.
The communication was connected, and a burly man wearing the standard armor of a general from the Three Axe Mountain appeared on the screen. Upon seeing Ming Yu, he immediately bowed respectfully.
"Deacon Mingyu".
Mingyu nodded and got straight to the point.
"Immediately dispatch a team of elite ninth-tier cosmic-level troops from your base."
He paused, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
"Target: The Noranshan family. Clean them up completely, leave no loose ends."
The commander on the other end of the screen felt a chill; he understood the meaning behind the words "clean thoroughly." But he had no doubts.
"Yes, mission accomplished."
Mingyu cut off the communication and exited the virtual universe.
He looked out at the boundless starry sky and murmured to himself.
"On a remote native planet, four young people who are not even at the ninth level of the eternal star level actually managed to escape unscathed from the realm within a realm."
"Now, he has even been accepted as a disciple by Lady Manluo."
"Hong...you're becoming more and more interesting."
Mingyu knew very well that this seemingly casual investment in a favor might yield unexpected returns in the future.
Excellent value for money.
